Curious to see the opinions here. The video points out religious fundamentalism in the Middle East and compares it to the rise of Nazi Germany:

I will reserve my opinion until enough people answer.

La ilaha illa Allah: Please tell me more about your opinion. No Christian or Jewish group I have heard of has ever threatened to chop off the heads of non-believers. I seriously want to know why you think the way that you do.

Betty Boop: Are you serious? I'm an atheist, and this board is for free speech. This video has been cited by mainstream media sources, including the Glenn Beck show. I am asking for your opinions on it. This is America.

Also to Boop: Please note that the last part of this video is an outreach to moderate Muslims. It does not deride the complete religion of Islam.

Perhaps it would have been better to give the last part of the video, which is an outreach to moderate Muslims:

auntb93: Good points. There are radicals in every faith. One group just happens to span 53 countries and resorts to violence against non-believers. But both are dangerous.

Corrosion: Excellent questions. I am curious as to some of those as well, particularly the response to the radical programs in the Middle East. Certainly everyone cannot have agreed with a child shouting death to America, or that they want to be martyred for Allah.

Maureen: I agree. It's sad to see so many people whose lives are destroyed by the extremists. Imagine what it must be like to live there and face the threats of an attack every day...

Very selective editing. I only get one side of the issue, which is multi faceted. Yes, the TV show was disgusting. What happened in its aftermath? Was it condemned? The producers don't say.

Glenn Beck is not mainstream. His is the lowest rated show on CNN Headline News. His guest last week was the Apocalpytic pastor John Hagee, and Beck frequently lies about Iran. He is, in short, another neoconservative Christian buffoon who loves war as long as it's your blood being spilled.

Interesting, I have heard admiration of Hitler expressed online by many Hindus.

So that gives me insight into the troubles in Gujarat.

Another point of interest I must include: Iran's president was about to lose badly to Rafasanjani when GW Bush decided to publicly declare his support for Rafsanjani. Iranians took that as a threat, and as much as they hate that little howler monkey, they vote for him. The ayatollahs would not allow reform candidates to run again after the reformer Khatami was elected by staggering margins twice, in 97 and 2001. Less than five percent of Iranian support their government, but the Glenn Becks of the world can push them into the arms of nationalism if he keeps it up.

PS: I like you and your posts very much, so please don't take any of this personally and I am not for reporting you.

I am glad that you added that last part re Muslims, Only an average of 10% of the Muslim religion are extremists. That leaves a great percentage living a good life. The only one thing that shakes me a little is that the majority of good muslims are not speaking up against that 10%, which I believe is because of fear. I can undertstand that position as well, because fear of the very radical muslims I can understand, because of the way they treat their own people who don't agree with them. I would like the spiritual living muslims to know that I always think of them when I see the news and have so much compasion for the families and children that are dying because their fellow countrymen really don't care about their own people's lives. I send them love and peace and hope that the time will come soon, when there can be peace in their country and the children can live longer lives. I lived through the second world war in England and that is exactly what happened in Germany. 25% of Germans were Nazi and the rest were german people who wanted nothing to do with the war, but they couldn't excape it, for the same reason, fear.

Eeeeewwwww!! That's so sick and bad!! :( omg! I didn't watch the whole thing cuz I gtg soon.
There are lots of ppl who are born Muslim but don't practice Islam. The vid is not true about Islam. You have to read the Quran or books about Islam and the prophets life to get real right answers. I have asked ppl Q's about Islam and I get a different answer from everyone I ask. So to get the real answer you will get it from the Quran. You can't judge a religion by the way ppl act.

"Obsession" is a whole movie. You can get a DVD of it. But be prepared: it's very, very scary. The movie starts by saying most Muslims do not support the radicals. But the fact is, those that do not are often afraid to speak up if they live in an Arab country. This sort of hateful propaganda, and the illustrations of teaching children to prepare for martyrdom and jihad, are very frightening.

Then look at the movie "Jesus Camp" and note the similarities. It may keep you awake nights.

You haven't heard of any other people beheading.

Here is some proof for you.......

" Charles only spared the lives of those Saracens[Muslims] who consented to be baptised, the rest he put to the sword."--[History of Charles the Great and Orlando, by Turpin, Vol-I, ch-ii, pg-5]

"....A bloody sacrifies was offered by mistaken votaries to the God of the Christian resistance might provoke, but neither sage nor sex could mollify, their implacable rage, they indulged themselves 3 days in a promise-nous MASSACRE. After 70,000 MUSLIMS HAD BEEN PUT TO THE SWORD and the HARMLESS JEWS HAD BEEN BURNED in their Synagogue, they could still reserve a multitude of captives
whom interest or lassitude persauded them to spare."--[Rise and Fall of Roman Empire- GIBBON]

Those were the old times. Even today the most victimised people on the earth are Muslims, be it Chechnya, be it Bosnia,Herzegovina, or Gujarat state of India etc, etc.

Alas you tend to ignore the facts.

If only the global religions could be held accountable for their actions or the actions that they inspire. Instead we let them get away with everything, because all they have to do is point to a cloud.

Makes some good points...but misses many too. For one, Nazi Germans were very smart for their time...Muslims are not, they are behind time.

Truest part is that it is more widespread and can have the impact of many many Nazi regimes.
