Hi,

My fiance and I are currently planning our wedding were planning it for Summer 2009, we were going to have a big church wedding {well not so big}; with all the trimmings, but weve decided we just cant afford it along with all our other obligations, anywho, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good chapel in Vegas, I prefer not to get married in one of the hotel chapels, I'd prefer something off the beaten path away from all the gliltz and glam....

Thank you very much for your input....

We got married this past May in Vegas, and don´t regret it at all. We didn´t have a lot of cash, and part of the money we did have ended up going towards a big screen TV anyway.

We married at Little Chapel of the Flowers, and the staff there was fantastic! From the very first E-mail to the last, everyone catered to our requests, and I would highly recommend them to everyone.

We stayed at Stratosphere, and it was literally a one minute limo ride to the chapel. After the ceremony and pictures, our limo driver dropped us off at the Bellagio fountains, where we took more photos, and then all of us went to Paris buffet for dinner. At Paris, there was a hotel band that night, and we got to dance our first dance there-cool.

If you want more info, please do not hesitate to E-mail me. Yes, I too thought I would have a big church wedding, but that just wasn´t God´s plan for us, and He knows all.

Either The Little Chapel of the Flowers (behind the strip) or the Little Chapel of the West (far south end of the strip, not in a hotel). I've been to weddings at both of them and they both do a great job.

You can do an internet search for wedding chapels in las vegas - most of them have websites that show their chapels inside & out so you can pick one you really like.

Congrats & good luck!

No, sorry, I don't know of any good chapels in Vegas - as I'm from Australia and have never been to the USA.

But I was still hoping to be able to give you a word of advice...

I would save up and wait until you can afford your church 'dream' wedding like you had planned...

My husband and I did a 'cheapo' wedding as well (we had a baby on the way, so we couldnt really afford to wait).

I tell you, I forever regretted 'getting married in a rush'. Every time I see someone getting married or hear about someone who had a 'fabulous' wedding with friends, guests, flowers, dresses and gifts, I get depressed and just wonder how wonderful it might have been to wait a little bit and get married properly in a church with relatives, like everyone hopes to do. I regret it to this day.

Whatever your decision, I hope you truly have a fabulous special day!

Go for the Little Church of the West or try this great new Chapel - they have a brand new chapel that's lovely - http://702wedding.com/TheChapel/OurNewChapel/tabid/114/Default.aspx. Though you said no hotel chapels - the Texas Station is way off the strip - http://www.texasstationweddings.com/overview_chapel.php
Also consider Always & Forever - they do Lakeside weddings & receptions - away from the strip - perhaps thay have what you want! http://www.lasvegaswedding4u.com/index.php

there is no place in vegas to get away from the glitz and glam but we have been a part of three vegas weddings that were at the smaller chapels not affiliated with any of the hotels and they were great. One of the couples did the whole vegas theme wedding but the other two had beautiful traditional weddings ....not cheesy at all. google vegas wedding chapels

Find an independent marriage celebrant and go up into the mountains near hoover dam. Over looks the colorado river as well. Absolutely beautiful. The best time to go is in april/may. Summer is WAY to hot to get married outside.

But if your wanting a chapel. Here is a link to wedding chapels in nevada..

Have happy day.

Oh my gosh!! The wedding chapel at Mandalay Bay is beautiful. It is in the back near the pool and is no where near the casino. It has a very tropical look to it. I have a friend who got married there and her pictures are amazing. They have pretty reasonable packages too. For dinner afterwards go to Buca Di Beppo in Summerlin. We just had an anniversary party for my in-laws there and it was perfect. There is also a place in Henderson called the Cup Cakery and they do these cupcake towers in different flavored cupcakes and they have beautiful tops for the cupcakes. We had white gold glitter with flowers on each of the cupcakes. The flowers they used were real orchids. It was perfect. I actually do party planning so if you need anymore advice please email me at joeypal62@gmail.com. Good luck and happy wedding!!

Listen to the person who suggested Little Church of the West. I married there and it is a beautiful, quaint chapel. It's on the south end of the Strip and is away from a majority of the glitz and glam of Vegas.

Good luck and congrats!
