A guy should only say that a girl is hot when it is needed, for example shopping for a swimsuit, beautiful is something that a guy should say when he wakes up with his arms around her. There is deffinately a time and place for both. :)

I think it depends on if you think he is beautiful or hot. If you both think each other is hot, then you would probably have a hot relationship that won't last long, since the both of you are only looking at the physical. If he thinks you are beautiful then maybe he has gotten to know more about who you are. Don't date yet, maybe just invite him with some friends out somewhere a few times so that each of you can know each other more.

Hanadee, If I were to date a guy, that would make me, er, gay. I think you made the right choice though. I think a guy that calls you hot is disrespectful in a way. Calling you beautiful refers more to the inner and outer beauty whereas being called hot kinda only refers to the outside appearance (body). Of course it depends on the situation. That's my take on it. Hope I make sense and you can understand what I sayin'.

Me too. Cuz a guy who calls you "hot" sounds kinda degrading and the one who calls you "beautiful" seems to have more respect for you. I'd rather be with a guy who says I'm beautiful than something like, "Da*n you're hot!"

Essentially the two words should mean the same thing, but in my opinion they have different connotations. I personally would rather be called beautiful than hot; to me hot indicates he would see me as a sex object (though there is one time and place for it), and beautiful is that he sees me for more than just my looks but also the woman I am.

of course choose the guy who tells you you're beautiful than hot. Because a guy who says that a girl is hot it just mean that he wants to get laid or have sex with you. so good choice

hot when he thinks u physically look good...
