When going out with a girl are you obligated to pay for everything? My ex made me pay for everything and im mean everything. She once made me pay for some sowing supplies she needed!

I think it's nice when guys like to pay for things on a date. But not everything every time we go out. It makes me feel less independent. I remember going to the store with an ex of mine and I was tempted to buy a sweater. But I decided not to. He insisted on buying it for me and I said no I didn't need it. Then he said "Fine, I'll buy it online." and I didn't understand why he wouldn't listen about it. If I really wanted it and needed it I would have it already. And if I needed sewing supplies I would definately buy them myself. Sounds like this girl your with is taking advantage. Some girls do that, girls like me don't appreciate it so often.

No, that is such a myth! Why should a woman be an extra expense for a man? I mean, I think that the man ought to be willing to pay for certain things, but the woman needs to be willing to pay as well.
