I did tonight, and the hater who mailed me even pulled that famous fundie stunt of turning off the email option so that I couldn't write back to him/her - lol.

Anyhoo, Christian, Muslim, atheist - whatever, you may well want to block this person:

He/she sounds very hateful.

I should add that I had never encountered this person at all until now. The hate mail is 100% unjustified.

Wow.. Did they say what the reason was for them sending you an email? Any specific reasons?

I feel unsafe now..... our siblingly-atheist walls are breaking down....

Gotta love the "love everyone" policy that gets thrown down the drain.... I have received plenty of emails from Christians bashing me and any opinions I may have. I will sometimes respond but usually I just delete them. I have sent a couple messages, but they were legit questions asked in a professional manner. Not just mindless rambling about how stupid they are.

I haven't gotten hate mail from anyone but I did get an email from someone telling me that Y!A was in fact the correct forum for evangelizing because I answered her non-question by saying something like "Please evangelize somewhere else. This isn't the correct forum for that." I then reminded her that it's Yahoo Answers, not Yahoo Convert-others-to-your-religion.

I have not but I think some of the "christian trolls" are getting more creative in hiding and "acting the part" of an atheist.

well i could UNDERSTAND (not agree with) in some situations...
i mean from my experience i have seen a couple different examples of atheists...
ive known hot tempered ones.. and very passive and understanding ones...
so its possible that you fall into one category and this other person falls into another, and therefore doesnt care for you....

or of course this could just be an ****** with nothing better to do.

I wish I had hate mail... Meaning I'm doing a not good enough job of being mean.

Aah, but did you apply the Litmus test? Could he spell "atheist"?

Or any multi-syllable?

Edit: Hhm, suspicious. Then again, you never know. Not all atheists are... uhh... saints.

Nope... I've never gotten a hatemail because of any posts here on these forums. Strange, acutally.
