I don't know. And I'm virtually certain that nobody else here does, either.

God is such a limiting term while still ambiguous.
I almost hate the word as it congers unrealistic expectations.
I believe in one consciousness that we are all part of.
The brain, mind, and animal self is all ego so this consciousness is beyond all that.
As part of that consciousness the challenge is to remember who you are more than anything else.
You have an entire false identity based on your ego and traumas and it goes by the name you were given as a baby.
Good luck in your search, if you find this consciousness you'll find it's made of unconditional love. Love is that which holds all things together.
Become love to remember your true self.

I know where you're coming from. There is God and the Gift of the Holy Spirit and the Son of God - all ending up being one god - sort of like the 'Three Faces of Eve".
Then, of course, there is Satin (the adversary) whom God didn't create so we can only assume he'd been around as long as God Himself. Then there are the 'Sons of God' (angels) and God didn't create them either so, again, we can only assume that, they too, had been around for a while. Sounds like a Chemists' convention.
So, I guess there is really only one God but with a whole lot of baggage and confusion.

despite the d*psh*ts who apparently aren't aware that the world consists of many different religions, a friend of mine was compiling a list of gods and goddesses in one sect of one Eastern religion.... I think it was Hindi, but I could be wrong, and in that one religion there were well over 400 gods and goddesses.

More then 400
Now the question would be how many gods do you believe in. That number varies person to person.

Dear Brother ,
there exists only One God. And the proof is from Quran:
And your Ilah (god) is One Ilah (god - Allah), La ilaha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #163)
And Jesus (peace be upon him) is not God neither son of God, but Messenger of God, and the proof is :
O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rooh) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (god), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is AllSufficient as a Disposer of affairs.
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #171)
And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): "O Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah? " He will say: "Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in my innerself though I do not know what is in Yours, truly, You, only You, are the AllKnower of all that is hidden and unseen.
And Quran also states the consequence, occured if there were more than One God as below..
Say (O Muhammad SAW to these polytheists, pagans, etc.): "If there had been other aliha (gods) along with Him as they assert, then they would certainly have sought out a way to the Lord of the Throne (seeking His Pleasures and to be near to Him).
( سورة الإسراء , Al-Isra, Chapter #17, Verse #42)
Allah knows the best

As many as there are weak people..... each of them creates one for his/her mental peace and security..... I believe that every believer opts for one prime God and all other gods, if any he/she further believes in, get relegated to below that one prime God...... and everyone's God is unique to his/her belief notwithstanding commonality of names, attributes etc. with other people's beliefs.

As many as the stars in the sky...each of us has our own personal idea of what/who this or that God is. That's a ton of God!
