Hiring in restaurants: eligibilty and requirements?

Question

I'd like to become a server once I'm 18 (2 weeks), but almost every place I find requires at least 6 months of experience as a server. What are some restaurants that do NOT require that, that you guys know of? I'm already living on my own (w/ boyfriend) and Circuit City is not paying the bills!! I don't think I'd be able to become a hostess first and then wait to move up either... I really need to start making more than $500 a month. =]

Try Denny's or places like that .
Sometimes the small mom and pops will take you on .
The better restaurants do require experience .
