Yes, Yes, I know women "love" those confident men who act like asses, but if a really shy guy asked a girl out, and he was really good looking, would his chances be improved? Or do women only care how you act, and not look? Thanks.

nope - until I got married, I was an average looking guy who got a lot of tail. It is all about how you present yourself. I found that "good looking" guys had too much false self-confidence and talked far to much about themselves and not their kids and other aspects of their lives.

Good looking men can be butt ugly. If they are concieted asses that is a major turnoff and also a sign of immaturity. If a shy good looking guy asked a girl out that is a plus. Real men take action and deal with whatever outcome.

You should have either looks or personality.
One can compensate for the other.
Now, lets say you are only average looking, and your personality is dull... No chances.
I must ask: Are you SURE you are good-looking? Because you would have to be REALLY good looking for the women to do all the approaching and talking, but they will if you look that good. An average guy? No approaches. If a woman approaches you, that's huge. Although Hollywood portrays it all the time, it is very, very rare.

Gee, it can't hurt. Having a sense of pride and being assertive enough to tell people(men or women) what you want, when you want it is also important. Try and imagine that you were starving and she has a barbecue-party happening...would you be so afraid to stroll up the driveway and join the fray to solve your problem, or are you too scared of being refused that you'd die of hunger instead? I think that's the problem with most people: they've never truly been hungry!

For me looks count so little. A guy has to be confident and full of energy to get my attention. I have turned down many good looking guys that were too shy and pined for not so good looking but confident guys. Sorry but its our nature to be attracted to actions rather than appearance.

Actually I find that women are more cautious with good looking men because they think the guy will sleep around. Women with low self esteem will go for the uglier guys and there are plenty of women with low self esteem around...

Good looking guys definitely get an upper hand in dating girls.. Either you look cute or your look suave, chances are always better be it you're shy or not.. So if there's a lady that catches your eyes, approach her, take the initiative.. good luck!

Its your intelligence and confidence and the way you carry yourself. You need tons of confidence and attitude and be fit and well dressed.Communication skills and humour too are very important.
