I just am little worried but I will go and check up on her hearing test anyway. I am deaf and so is my husband Jonathan. I have 7 years old daughter who is hearing and she knows a bit of sign language. Now I have another daughter who is 6 months old and she sometimes dont pay attention when I called her name. She sometimes turn her head to me when I called her but most of time she dont. Is that normal or should I go ahead to get her hearing tests? At her birth, she already did had her hearing test and she passed but now she's 6 months and dont really pay attentions to any sounds. What if she cant hear or may I be wrong? Please, tell me what can I do. Thanks

Stay in frequent contact with your doctors and hearing specialists to keep close tabs on your little girl. You are wise in the way you are on top of any problems that may come with her hearing. Keep up the good work, I think you are a good mother to your children.

If you and your husband have hearing problems it would be wise to go and get your child checked out, especially if you’re worried about it. Nothing is wrong with you having your child tested and at least you would know. Even if your child was tested at birth that does not mean anything because my son was tested at birth and I just found out at 6 years old that he was blind in his left eye. He's going through therapy now and his left eye is being trained to see but my point is if you feel that your child or children needs to be test 10 times after a doctor tells you everything is ok then go back 10 times. It's better to be safe then sorry. And we are the first doctors in our children lives anyway, so if you are worried go back and get your baby tested again.

I was going to say maybe she had Attention Deficit Disorder, but she's only 6 months and I don't think a child that young can really have a disorder like that quite so early.. I know when I was younger, like about five I started doing things just like that and it just tured out I had ADD.

In your case though, I would probably call a doctor and definitely have that checked. Although, she is just a baby still and maybes do have short attention spans I would think.. that could be just what it is.

Just check on it anyway though, just to be safe.

Normal probably but have a hearing test and make sure they test for the high range. My great nephew had a male doctor who totally missed his hearing problem because he could hear the doctor but not his mother. He turned to the doctor's voice so the doctor said he was fine. He had trouble learning to talk since he couldn't hear his mother. He is 15 and fine now I don't know if they did anything for him but he seems fine.
