I'm not trying to imply that PS3 if inferior, I'm just wondering, because I'm thinking of buying one, if you are satisfied with your decision? I'm not that hard core of a gamer, but Call of Duty 4 is coming out and I NEED TO HAVE IT! The single player is the same on xbox360 and ps3, and the multiplayer seems very good (from early beta reviews), so apart from my original question, how is the PS3 online gaming? Is it deserted or what? Like if I buy the game, and I wanna play some online, will there be people there to play with? I know these are hypothetical questions but I'm just trying to get all the info I can, so thx in advance for any help:)

PS3 is incredible. People who don't own one usually dog it but thats fine, it just makes them look ignorant.

The online Play for 360 and PS3 are very much the same. The only difference is the menus in which you have before you are "in-game". Once you are "in-game" there is no difference. I play a lot of Madden on both systems and I play Resistance online with my PS3. Online play is great (and free!!!) with PS3.
On any given night there are at least 3,000 or so people playing Madden for PS3 and with games like Resistance and Warhawk the numbers are much higher. -Warhawk is a great online game by the way.

I highly recommend PS3. There have been 2-5 games a week now coming out since August and there are 300 slated to release with the next 14 months! I really like teh PS3 exclusives. You can start to see the separation form 360 and PS3 in PS3 exclusives vs. 360 exsclusives. The games for PS3 are much more "epic" and have a lot more going into them it feels like. Heavenly Sword is almost like playing a movie and Ninja Gaiden Sigma is awesome. Resistance FoM is still a crazy game and Folklore (which just came out and hasen't gotten too much hype) is like nothing you've ever played. I'm bown away by the creativity and imagination that Folklore displays. Its like running around in Tim Burtons head (Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.).

Go with PS3 you won't be dissapointed and its worth every penny.

LOL! Laughing at gangsta 619 who said PSN is better than Xbox Live! I'd rather pay for a service that isn't full of ******* than get one for free that is, you're a joke mate, come back to me after a month of experiencing Xbox Live. Now I'll cut to the biscuits:

I have both consoles and are disappointed with neither. And if you are so blind to think that PS3's GPU is superior to the Xbox 360's, play BioShock on a 1080p display and remember to pick you jaw up off the floor; 'cos drooling is messy. Just keep in mind, eye candy and awesome visuals only make up a small part of the game.

The PSN is a minute boil on the *** of Xbox Live, so get COD4 on the Xbox 360 instead, I've played the beta and it didn't grasp me, but then again, arcade style run-in-and-die type games never do appeal to me. Halo 3 is my kind of thing.

And avoid Super Super Fun Fun Random Japanese Turn-Based Generic RPG Sequel 22 style games at all costs, a great example of the above is Final Fantasy. Way too many of 'em.

Well I am not at all disappointed with my purchase of my PS3. In fact I play warhawk (online only game) and there are times where it can be difficult to find a game that has an opening. So there should be no problem finding people to play against or with on the PS3.
Some of the things that many don't know, the PS3 online gaming has very little lag. I've never seen lag be a problem in warhawk, at all.

i'm relatively inspired via the huge-unfold and determination of PS3 video games in its first year and four months. There are lots of could buys already and 2008 is geared as much as be the year of the PS3!!! spectacular video games out Now COD 4 DMC4 Uncharted Drakes Fortune Resistance Fall of guy Heavenly Sword Ratchet and Clank : destiny equipment of Destruction Ninja Gaiden Sigma Folklore Oblivion Motorstorm Guitar Hero 3 murderer's Creed Warhawk Rockband Madden soccer NCAA soccer MLB The teach i do no longer think of you're looking very difficult. P.S. $4 hundred greenbacks is way less costly. i offered a Ps3 in 11/06 whilst they have been $600. be happy Sony has extra the cost down and given you a game equipment and a blu ray participant for purely $4 hundred greenbacks!

I have PS3 and xbox 360 but I love my ps3 more. It sucks when you have to wait one and a half months to get you console back because of the red ring of death. ps3 is better :-)

there are TONS of people online (but not as much as on halo 3) xbox live is better, but they charge way too much for downloads, ps3 downloads are WAY cheaper. If a game comes out on ps3 and 360, I always get the ps3 version.

Hope I have helped!
