Maybe there is room for compromise - mayb family should help each other out, and you can still help with babysitting, but also that you want time for yourself, for study, for work, for friends etc. and have a talk about alternatives for some of the time. Good luck with it.

Ummmmmmm..."Mom, I don't want to babysit anymore."

So, why does she want you to babysit? If you really want to get out of it, then take a mature approach. Sit her down and tell her why you don't want to babysit.

Consider things like...your age, what other chores do you do around the house...is babysitting what you do instead of the Vacuuming or something like that. What are you missing by babysitting. Are you willing to comprimise. For instance, do more housework instead of babysitting.

Next get your Mom to sit down and open a dialogue about babysitting. Get her to tell you why you have to baby sit so much. It may be enlightening to you. During this dialogue do not get upset. If you start to get upset...tell her, I am getting upset...can I have a minute to calm down before we go on.

The thing is...unless you at some time come out with the "Mom, I don't want to babysit anymore" she is not going to know how you feel.

Are you being left holding the bag? If so, you need to communicate about this with your mother. This can turn into abuse really easy.
Negative outcomes can happen as siblings getting the idea that they can run rampant without any repercussions, and the older sibling stuck with babysitting gets to where she doesn't care. They are more likely to behave around a stranger.

You need time to be a kid, too.

Juz tell her.
Talk to her nicely and reason it out!!
Remember to reason out your case strongly.!!

That way, you'll get what you want.
