The porn industry is mainly based in Southern California as well as Las Vegas, and to a smaller extent, Florida.
New York USED to be the "capital" back in the 70's and there may still be a few productions but not as many as out in the West Coast.

I live in Las Vegas they have a big convention each year out here.
