Long story short... suffering with severe anxiety starting 7 years ago... took a few meds here and there but made me worse... began to improve after a few years... doing ok until I moved my family in about 4 months ago. Now I am having serious anxiety attacks again and I'm suppose to see the dentist next week for a root canal however I don't know how I can even stand to sit there at all...even medicated. I know this sounds demanding but all I want today is prayer. Prayer for me to have courage and stand through this. I contimplate death all the time now. My life is as big as your house.... walls and windows. I live in a glass bowl... I see outside but I don't know what it feels like. A trip to the store for me is like you going somewhere you have never been and don't know where it goes on an entirely different planet. It's quite scary and that doesn't even describe it. I'm sitting here now in serious pain and asking God to help me. Can you please pray for me. I don't want to live

I'll pray for you. But, please don't be so down on yourself. You sound like you are a nice person so don't be your oun worst enemy. We can only live one day at a time, so why not do just that...live just ONE day at a time. If a great portion of your time is spent telling yourself how bad things are in your life, how bad you feel, that your problems are extremely large, and that you need serious help...you know what? That is exactly what you are going to get. You are telling yourself that things are bad, you don't see the bright side of things, so your mind and body are responding the way you are telling them to respond. Negative feelings go in-negative felings come out. If all you think about is the nagative, you are bound to get the negative. Count your belssings. Really-count your blessings. Can you see things? There are people that can't see but would love to. Can you hear? There are a lot of deaf people in the world and they all wish that they could hear. You evidently have a home. and food to eat. About half of the worlds population have no place to call home and went to bed hungry. You can get on the internet. Not everybody can do that. You have the ability to go to a dentist. What would it be like needing a root canal, putting up with the pain from it but not being able to go to a dentist? These are just a few. Sit down and think about all the good things you do have. Do you thank God for the blessings He has given you? We should. You say your family mooved in. Many people don't have a family to see, much less live with. Don't dwell on the negative. Dwell on the positive. You have been through tough times in the past. You can, and will, get through this one too. God loves you. Say and think about it again. GOD LOVES YOU. God wants the best for you, so take it. God loves you so much that Jesus came to earth and gave up His life to save YOU. Read the Bible or other Christian litature. Talk to a pastor about how you feel. Maybe God has given you an answer to your problems but you haven't looked for it very hard. Be good to yourself. Why dwell on negative things when there are so many positive things to think about? I's God that sees and is watching over you, wanting the best for you. God is with you every step of the way. Trust Him. God Bless You.

In my past, I've suffered severe depression, extreme anxiety, serious suicidal thoughts--& dental anxiety...

I found a dentist that uses 'sedation dentistry'. The patient has to be driven in --& walked in & out-- by a family member or friend, & it does cost more-- but I knew of no other way to get the necessary work done (4 root canals +, after having avoided the dentist for 20 yrs).

However, there is another method that might very well work for you, & it would very probably be cheaper, & *longer lasting*, too... EFT / Emotional Freedom Techniques. Gary Craig got it started, & it is helping people with nearly every conceivable problem they face! Including anxieties of *all* kinds & depths, depression, fears, etc...
EFT coaches are listed on Gary's Web-site, & are already in many countries.

EFT is based on Quantum Physics, and employs stimulating accupressure / meridian points, while reprogramming one's responses to the currently-targeted issue/s. It is is free & easy to learn, but probably not as fast as you need to *> Find a coach, & call them. Many EFT coaches help people right over the phone! Seriously! (EFT is listed in ALL on-line search-engines.)

There are also some very good articles that cover other techniques you might want to learn how to use:

Breath.......I have had this happen to me to. I was even over medicated at one time and that was even worse! There is medication that works, you just have to find out what works with You. The best think I learned was to visualize positive, good things. Please visit the site below, its the best thing I have ever done. Well, beside accepting God into my life.

God has sent a lot of good words here on answers. He is there for you. He can save you. You have to want to save yourself too. You are a valuable human being. God would not be letting you go thru this if he didnt think you could make it thru it. You can change things, you can do this, you will be able to get back to this earth (reality), and God is helping you along the way. Keep praying. Ask him for the knowledge that you need to make it thru this. The aswer may just come in a way that you wont expect it.

I will pray for you. I feel so much empathy for you right now, it is making me tear up. I pray for your pain to be lifted. If you would like to, feel free to e-mail me. Just know you are not the only one that this is happening to, and you will be OK.

This will raise you up into a better peace of heart and cause faith and hope to give you new light a little at a time like a sunrise. Read the Gospel of Luke then the others. Pray all 150 Psalms a few daily. God's words cause life and faith to happen. Jesus said to me,
I control, rule and reign over the whole universe. This is a tiny little problem for me. Whenever you start to feel anxious about it turn it all over to me again and say, I trust it to you.
I will take care of you.
My very dearly beloved the way you see things now
is not the way you will always see things.
The things you see now are not the way things
will always be. All things change and everything is in my hands.

First let me say that Bad Boy Rocky needs prayer worse than you do because he has a serious personality disorder. Wonder what he is so angry about? Ignore him.

Having said that, let me tell you that God will help you if you ask. I will pray for you, in fact I am now. Please pray for God to guide you to the help you need. Any time I have prayed for guidance some one or something has appeared that was exactly what I needed. Try it. And don't forget to thank him.

I have been in a place where I prayed to die, but God wasn't finished with me yet so the answer to that one was no. I am in a much better place in my life now, and you will be too. Just hang in there.

Sweetheart. I have suffered the same for many years and thought I was crazy until I was diagnosed. You most likely have panic disorder and/or agorphobia. There is other help available besides medication. Do some research on the net and you will find that it is really common. You are not alone.
Find out about cognitive behaviour therapy from a psycologist. Improve your diet (particularly no sugar). Meditate or do Yoga. Hang in there. I know its really hard & I wish you all the very best. Hugs

I wish there was something I could say to make it all better. I think you would feel better if you could talk to a therapist. If you can, please do yourself a favor and do it. It sounds like you might have agoraphobia. As bad as it seems, it can be easily treated and cured. Don't worry about a root canal. I've had so many of those I've lost count. I had a dentist once who did not even use any anesthetic when he did this procedure and I was amazed because it was painless. These days dentistry is nearly painless. It is a bit uncomfortable, but it’s not nearly as bad as you’re telling yourself. Try to relax. Best wishes. =)

You will be happy again. I just know it.

You are suffering from social anxiety disorder and you need medication. Prayer is one thing but the Bible tells you that 'God helps those who help themselves' therefore go to your Doctor and tell him what you have stated here. There is help for you-you just have to ask the right person (your Doctor). As far as your physical pain goes-it can be caused by your emotional state-again, tell your Doctor all your symptoms and feelings. Good Luck!

First of all, Your Avatar looks far too happy for this question.
Second,Your own prayer is far more valid than other peoples.
Other people praying for your personal stuff will not get answered any quicker or more thoroughly. I think YOU ARE NOT LISTENING FOR GODS ANSWERS. He is a silent one with words but He is trying to let you know to BE AS STRONG AS HE WOULD BE IN YOUR POSITION.
Don't let the anxiety get ahead of your strength.....become the anxiety itself to dismantle it from the inside. Consentrate on the moments inbetween attacks and watch where they come from. I ACTUALLY THINK THINKING ABOUT DEATH HAPPENS TO ALL OF US So do not let it scare you...embrace it.
Good Luck Sweetheart!
Allow God to sit by you Literally.....If He does'nt say anything......You do all the talking.
I HATE DENTISTS!

I reported that guy. How mean.
I, too have anxiety problems and depression, very bad at times. I require medication.
You absolutely must go to the Dr. Go to your family doctor first if you have one. If not see if someone can recommend one for you. If you feel it's an emergency call 911 or get someone to take you to the E.R.
You anxiety and depression is way out of control, and must get back on the right track. It will take prayer and a doctor. Go to the Dr. as soon as possible. Satan loves to destroy. Don't let him talk you into destruction of your self. You are loved by God and the Son of God. Your angels are surounding you trying to keep you safe. Pray, pray now, and I will, too--now!
