Australia is a huge place, bigger than the contiguous United States. As with the USA there are many places of interest to visit. I suggest you read something of Australia and then decide what you would like to see. A good start would be Bill Bryson's book "Down Under".

Australia is such an awesome country. The most popular spots for overseas visitors to go to is Melbourne and Sydney. But other places like Darwin- Outback Australia, Perth, and Brisbane are must sees as well. When you know what places yours goign to then it would be easier to say what tourist places you should visit.

Sydney and Melbourne are really cool cities to go to.
As far as nature and landmarks theres the 12 Apostles, The Three Sisters, theres the Great Ocean Road in Victoria...umm the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland...maybe the Pinicles in Western Australia..
Theres also giant fruits aswell, like the big bannana, the big pineapple and stuff.
If you go to Sydney visit the Taronga Zoo, that's really cool!!

depends on what your looking for, I'm currently in Australia backpacking from the UK, me and my boyfriend have travelled along the east coast (cairns to Sydney) and we had so much fun scuba diving, cuddling koalas, jet skiing, walks in rainforests and seeing some spectacular sites (waterfalls). We enjoyed getting out of the big cities!
Australia is awesome!!
