It would certainly seem that way, from reading the Bible, that the Holy Spirit is the most sacred of the three figures that comprise the trinity. Yet, since the commonly espoused doctrine is that all three entities that make up the trinity are, to use the official words, co-equal and co-eternal, and that one should not divide their substance, but treat them as one, then an insult to one, should be an equal insult to all. So by that logic, blaspheming God, is the equivalent of blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and blaspheming Jesus is also the same as blaspheming the Holy Spirit. It’s a no win situation for the blasphemer.

Yet, clearly the Bible treats the members, of what we call the trinity, as separate entities, whose substance can be segregated, and it clearly gives more weight to the Holy Spirit. So what you clearly see from the trinity is a doctrine that was created after the Bible was compiled. It is a doctrine that was added to, and does not stem from the original biblical texts.

Ultimately, the trinity is such a convoluted doctrine, that most Christians, even seasoned scholars cannot describe it coherently; much less defend its truthfulness. Yet, these people, who are completely confounded about the trinity, become terribly indignant if you insult one of its members; the very member that is the most ineffable of the three. Imagine that? Such is the way that religion, and faith based thinking, contorts the mind.

I think it's that if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit you get a 3 for 1 deal right now. So really it's just a kind of blasphemy blue light special and they throw in Jesus and God for free.

The Holy Spirit is the part of God that dwells within you. If I don't know God or Jesus, and I speak against them, I can still be forgiven- because I sinned in ignorance. I didn't know. But if the Holy Spirit is within me, and I still deny God before men, or seek to lead others away from Him, then I cannot claim that I sinned in ignorance.

You are wrong, do not blaspheme God or Jesus, because if you do, you are doomed and cannot be forgiven. The holy spirit is what they are composed of, when the Wholy Spirit is sent out, It is God that sents it out to do the things He wants it to do.
You be very careful what you say, you don't want to be lost for ever. God bless you , read your bible.

Yes, the Holy Spirit is the real God.

The best way to explain the Trinity is to say "One God in three persons"

Let's look at what blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is...
*Matthew 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
The Pharisees were saying Jesus power to cast out devils came from Satan, not God. That is the blasphemy that is unpardonable.
The Holy Spirit is God...
*Acts 5:3-4 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.
I hope this helps.

This is a sin of apostasy, which is why it cannot be forgiven. Jesus made this point when the scribes or Pharisees, seeing a miraculous exorcism (previously only performed scripturally by David), and *knowing* that such authority only comes from God, claimed that it came from the devil, instead. By claiming this, they denied the very power of God that they both knew and had witnessed. Obviously, you cannot turn your back on God and be forgiven - you have to repent, accept God again, and *then* you can be forgiven.
