im in school, in the gym just talking with a friend. this girl that i really liked last year (she graduated and we havent talked since) walks in front of me. i grab her hand and i say hi, she says hi back but she has a sad look on her face. i hear something say "dance with her". so i get up and she finally smiles, and we finally had our first slow-dance. but when she looked at me while we were dancing, I woke up..

do you think it means i still have feelings for her after all these months?

My take is that you're trying to oversimplify the dream. It is possible you've repressed some feelings, good and/or bad, about her, and this is coming out in the dream. Only you can tell that. More likely the dream isn't about the relationship itself, but what the relationship means to you, which you haven't told us about. Whatever it means to you, I tend to think you're coming to terms with it, integrating it into your psyche. The action of the dream suggests reconciliation to me, which leads me to the idea of inner reconciliation. Real-life context is important, as well as the feelings in the dream, which I'm just guessing at. If there's a lot of pain and negativity around the dream and/or the real-life situation, I'd probably have different ideas.

I disagree that this dream is hectoring you about being more aggressive in relationships. Unless there is a severe and immediate danger, the unconscious doesn't work by hectoring; its method is to nudge the conscious mind, not poke it with a sharp stick.

I think that you do and that you have regrets about not acting on the way you feel. You didn't approach her and see if she felt the same. Even if she didn't atleast you would know and your mind would be able to move on to someone else. Take this as a lesson in life. Don't hesitate when it comes to matters of the heart! As an old saying goes, "It is better to love and lost, then to never loved at all!"

To dream that you are in a gymnasium suggests you need to apply things that you have recently learned in a situation, into the rest of your daily life.
