I am a 16 year old girl, and I'm going to Italy for two weeks in January. I have a lot of questions about what to wear:
1. What kind of jackets?
2. What kind of shoes? Boots? Walking boots?
3. Pants?
4. Scarves? Gloves? Hats?

Also, where do you suggest I get these clothes?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Most Italian girls will wear jeans, a T-shirt or nice top and sweater and a winter coat or jacket.
Most common footwear will be trainers, runners or alike. Boots seem to be in fashion this year, but as I do not live in Italy, I do not know which brands and shapes they wear this season. Bring shoes you own and money to buy to the latest fashion if you can afford it.

Italy has a wide range in weather and temperature, even more in winter. You could be going skiing, for which you need a good ski-outfit, with good gloves, hood and scarf.
Or you can go to the 'sunny' south, where a t-shirt will be warm enough in the afternoon.

If you live in a country/area with the same climate, buy most at home, before you come over, where you know the places you can afford and where the clothes and styles fit you.
If you live in a warm climate you will need to have at least one outfit that is warm enough and you can buy the rest when you are in Italy, hoping you like shopping as part of your trip.

If you stay with an Italian family, or plan to go out in the evening, take some smart clothes, like what you would dress up in going out at night or church clothes if you do not go out yet. Italian girls do dress up at many occasions.

It is not bad to show where you come from as long as you have enough layers to be warm enough in the night.

there's a persisting fantasy that Italy is heat all 300 and sixty 5 days around. It ain't! it may get particularly chilly in wintry climate nevertheless much less so in a city like Florence. one hundred years in the past, British docs might deliver ill sufferers to Venice over wintry climate, the place they many times died from the chilly and damp!
