As a 10 1/2 year Navy Veteran I do have to say.... the "gung-ho" stuff is only left behind by those who never truly cared for their time in the military.
Every branch has their version of a battle-cry. It doesn t matter who says it or how it is said... when you are on the front lines; we are the same team, same fight.
To my brothers and sisters in arms (Sailors/Fly-Boys (Gals)/Gun-Bunnies (Army)/Devil Dogs) I say Hooyah/Hoorah/Hoooah.... Respectively

I love all the USMC morons commenting saying that the Navy doesn't say anything. YOU"RE ALL WRONG. USMC is part of the Navy. It still says Department of the Navy on the seal. Hell, the Corps is still run by Navy bigwigs.
Hooyah.

Most U.S. Navy rates say "Hooyah!" basic navy battle cry
BUT Navy Seabees say "Hoorah!" same as the marines.
they say its because the seabees are the step children of the navy. but its mainly because most NMCB's are deployed on marine sights and do most work with them.

Navy SEALS yell Hooyahhh
Sailors don't have a yell, they have big f'n guns that hit shi# 20 miles away and make a lot of dam# noise.
Soldiers say Hooahh
Marines yell OOORRRAAAHHH before plunging a KBar to the hilt. Or just to hear our awsome voices.
Airmen's yell , May Day, May Day ( ok maybe someone else knows the Airmen's yell ).
Thank you all for your service.

Spent 20 years in the Navy in a sea going rate, aboard surface ships for sea duty, and I don't remember ever having a battle cry. On the Frigates and Destroyers we had a battle flag. Can only remember one of those, it was on USS Meyerkord. It was a black flag with the words 'Battle Frigate' in white.
