If you close your eyes and focus on the pain I swear to you it will go away. I did that when my molar came out and my nerves were exposed under the gum it was the worst pain ever. Sometimes I had to hold my jaw and close my eyes, and my eyes would water. Then I started focusing on the pain and it would just stop pulsating. Anyway see your dentist good luck

After reviewing the first 18 answers you've received, I hate to give you a redundant answer, BUT, if the pain is as strong as you indicate, I have to recommend you go see a dentist. It may be something small, but, if you don't like seeing dentists, the sooner the better. You want to keep the necessary intervention at a minimal level. Over the years I have become okay with seeing dentists, but I remember the first time I kept taking aspirin for a tooth ache, and kept taking more and more and more, until I couldn't take enough pain medicine for it, and THEN went to the dentist, only to find I needed a root canal because I waited so long. It was much more expensive than if I had gone to see him earlier, and obviously a bit more uncomfortable and "scarey", so, go now. Get him or her to check it over. It may be a relatively minor irritation or other issue, but then it may be the onset of a bigger problem that, if you wait, you'll be having root canal issues or other issues that you'll wish to God you had gone earlier when the problem was smaller. Go see the dentist. It may be something small and readibly "curable", whether it has a progressive pattern to it or not. See the professional. God Bless you.

There is tooth ache, over counter, meds. to relieve pain. Kind of numbs it.

Sure you don't have food stuck between teeth or under the gum line? Try flossing.

Another possible cause ... if you have sinus problems it could be that. Sinus tabs help. Happens to me. Sinus drain can sometimes make you feel like you have tooth ache. It hurts. Happened to me twice. Went to dentis and nothing was wrong with side teeth. Did this twice before I woke up to smell the coffee.

But you don't know if that's the problem. Get to the dentist.

Know how you feel. Think most people do.

You might have a sinus infection lots of people don't know this but the pressure from a sinus infection can make your teeth hurt. Do you have any other problems (a cold or headache? ). You could have ate something that was too hot or too cold and made your tooth sensitive, you could have hurt your gum on top of that tooth do you have a cold sore there? You should go to a doctor if it doesn't feel better in the morning.
Good Luck

Orajel for major tooth pain tastes awful, but works temporarily. Definately Tylenol. Make an appointment with a dental clinic if you have insurance or if you don't, a dental school nearby offers low-cost clinics.

See a dentist soon. Could be an infection. Try a cold compress for some relief.

Probably just a random toothache. Take some advil/asprin and don't eat or drink really hot or cold anything. Should go away, maybe a nap could help. ^^ good luck

take a painkiller such as asprin and see a dentist. I believe you may need a root canal. Root canals are only performed when cavities have touched the roots of your teeth. When cavities touch the roots of your teeth/tooth it causes toothaches.

You drink a cold liquid recently? That could be why it happens to me every so often. I would only see a dentist if it still happens tomorrow.
