Sometimes, when the temperature is 120 degrees in Surprise, I have some not so nice things to say about Arizona. The world here is 50% blue. Not very many trees and most of the houses are one story. The mountains are only about 2000 feet high and the cacti are sparse. So, when I look up, the world is blue. When I look down, it is a tannish brown. Well, this week, my wife and I went to Nevada City, California, and the mountains were RIGHT THERE. The trees were orange, red and green, and very tall, some of the pines were 150 feet tall. The mist in the mountains was right in my face and it was cold. It rained the whole week. Now, I love rain. And I love trees. And I love the misty mountains. But, when I looked up, it was mostly green because of all the trees. And when I looked down, it was dark brown and red and orange with all the leaves on the ground. When I got back to Arizona, I really thanked MY lucky stars that I live in a world that is 50% blue. Do you feel that way about your home?

Sure you should, "no place like home"
I live ON a mountain, so life is a bit different for me.
I have first growth trees everywhere I look, green ..very green..
I look down over the valley, I can see the brown plowed fields, the lush green vegetation, roof tops.
......and into most peoples windows .. lol
Wouldn't change it for the world, although, I love the Ocean and at times would like to live right beside it..
Sounds nice in Arizona

Yes. Because at least it's dry in Arizona.
Here in South Carolina, there are a lot of trees. And it rains a lot. So we have mosquitoes so bad you're afraid everytime you feel warm you have some sort of jungle disease. But that warmth? It's the effing heat.
Now,I know what you're thinking, nothing compares to the heat in the desert. It only get up to about 100 degrees in the Southeast. At the most right?
Yeah right!
This summer the heat index in Aiken got up to 110 degrees. And it was effing humid and nasty, and evertime you walked out of the house, you got nauseous and felt like you were gonna die. It's hot in the fricking shade, and the air conditioning, if you're lucky and have a halfway decent system, inside the house got to 85 degrees. That's just aiken the heat index was higher in certain parts of the state, like Columbia and Charleston.
Stupid trees, stupid mosquitoes... honestly 8TM, you qould hate trees if you knew what knd of hateful devil bugs they spawn...
But my dad told me a story about the time he drove I-10 across texas, and there is absolutely nothing out there. And I can't imagine my world without trees. They're everywhere. And during the fall, the weather gets blissful. It's nice and warm during the day and crisp at night, because the humdity dies down a lot in the fall.
I love South Carolina. Plus, I have a beach right down the road from me. Tee hee.

Yes. I live in Vermont and it is quite beautiful regardless if it can be a bit remote. I have a beautiful mountain outside my window with a view of the Connecticut River. Mornings this time of year are foggy until the sun burns through at about 11am. Glorious! Can't beat Vermont.

I live in Oregon, right in the middle of the state! I live in the banana belt, where a lot of food is grown,( brown) and the mountains are right here, too!(GREEN) All in the mIddle of a temperate rain forest!(More green)
We also grow an abundance of flowers, for floral shops! You should see the explosion of color in the summer, when they bloom! It is incredibly beautiful!
And the Pacific coast is two hours away! You can't beat that with a stick!(BLUE_GREEN)
But you are welcome to try?
edit,
8 track? My husband is a snowbird, and goes to Quartzsite for the winters( He cant tolerate our rainy winters!) and loves it there, says the sunsets are amazing! From the pictures he took, I agree!

Yep. Depends on where I am, but sometimes, if I'm really lucky, it's about 90% blue, with a little bit of green. Dark blue ocean and ultramarine sky. Of course, most of the time, the sky is about 75% white or gray. But hey, the clouds come and go, and they keep the green green!

I live in Los Angeles, there isn't very much beauty here; it's all urban. But I've been to some other parts of California that were incredible, like the mountains, there's nothing like them anywhere else.

I used to live in New Mexico and so I know what you are talking about. I really miss the sunrises and sunsets. The clouds in the sky during those times are the most beautiful things I have ever seen!

I live in Southeast GA, and my world is blue as well. Not only is it blue, but you almost never need a coat in winter. There have been Thanksgiving Days when I can swim.
There is rarely any snow.
I'd never want to be up north.

I hate to be the party pooper here, but I don't really love Chicago. It's mostly gray. And I despise snow with a fiery passion. Maybe I would like AZ better???

Yes, I live in Ohio and I love the change of seasons. I take a lot of pictures of the sky, like snow falling, dark clouds rolling in, rainbows, fog, etc. Where I live, we get some of everything.
