That depends on your definition of "spirituality".
If spirituality is a belief in an after-life and/or god, that would require a certain level of sentience, which I don't believe exists in most animals.
The highest order of animals like apes might be able to comprehend a sense of spirituality, but I'm pretty sure a worm or cockroach doesn't have the intelligence or imagination to understand it.
There was an episode of Star Trek TNG that covers this topic pretty well called "Who Watches The Watchers". Basically, any creature that is significantly more powerful than another could be perceived as a god. A caveman would probably think we were gods because of our technology...

I don't think that animals care why they are here or where they came from. Not in a spiritual sense at least.
My cat thinks she is here to be fed 50 times a day, jump on me when I'm trying to sleep late and have her tummy rubbed for hours on end.
Gotta agree with the wicked sense of humor statement.

Spirituality, no. intelligence, maybe. A cat will lose all of it's fuzzy toy mice under the fridge, but is smart enough to save it's live mouse "toy" from oncoming traffic? Crazy little bastards.

Numbers 31:28 (God speaking to MÅ´ses) And levy a tribute unto the LÃRD of the men of war which went out to battle: one soul of five hundred, both of the persons, and of the beeves, and of the asses, and of the sheep:
Ecclesiastes 3:18-21 (The Vain Philosophy of Seasons) 18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spir´it of man that goeth upward, and the spir´it of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Sorry, I'll get a tad serious. Yes, I do believe animals have what humans have. We need to stop separating ourselves. At any rate, my dog is strangely human to me and she knows what pushes my buttons so anything is possible. Have a great night! (My dog actually wrote this for me...... that was lame...... have a good one)

I do. I don't exactly know how to explain why I think this... When you have a pet that you have been close with for many years, you just know this. They have souls just like you and I.
