When you go to the altar to pray, would you like someone to pray with you, or would you rather pray alone?

I love to go to the altar to pray. It is a very powerful place to be. I like it alone or with someone. I especially like it when I go and my son follows me down and we pray together. I don't like it when the altar call is narrow and only directed at the lost etc. and doesn't leave it open for whatever you want to go for. Those who said they don't go to the altar are missing out.

Having someone pray with me or over me is a fairly new experience for me, but I can say that it is a powerful one. Something special happens when two people come together in His name. It's like a battery getting an extra charge.

What altar do you have in mind? The New Testament clearly says (7 times) that it is the believer who is the temple of God. There is no other altar. What privilege it is to go to God in prayer in the intimacy of your own heart.

I don't pray in front of an alter, but I do pray on a regular basis. I like to pray by myself.

Prayer involves devotion, trust, respect, and a sense of dependence on the one to whom the prayer is directed. The various Hebrew and Greek words relating to prayer convey such ideas as to ask, make request, petition, entreat, supplicate, plead, beseech, beg, implore favor, seek, inquire of, as well as to praise, thank, and bless.

i like someone to pray with me. It's more comforting to have a hand on my shoulder...especially up there in front of the whole church or youth group

I would like someone to lay their hands upon me and pray with me as commanded in the Bible.

James 5:14-15
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

I like both! Most of the time, I like it when others pray with me. I know that when two or, more are gathered in His name, he is there with us! This gives me joy to know this.

In fact, my prayer is that all will come to know the joy in pouring out to our Creator! Who, but God can heal our brokeness? Who, but God, could make the ultimate sacrifice...out of pure love? I pray that all come to know God and the importance of prayer, in a relationship, with our Creator.
