hi ok see im having this bet with my best friend on who can outeat each other. basically, this friday, we're going to burger king after school and we see who can consume the most amount of king sized french fries/onion rings. hes only eating king sized french fries , he doesnt like onion rings, im eating assorted king sized fries and king sized onion rings. this will keep on going until someone finally gives up and says he cannot eat anymore. Rules are that a fry/onion ring must be consumed once every 20 seconds, and if someone throws up, its automatic disqualification. loser must pay for the other persons food. Please give me some pointers/tips to win this, my friend is fat and i am skinny. I am an athlete, playing on my school's basketball team. should i starve myself before, how to pace myself, anything? This is my male pride at stake!!! thank you =)

Before I answer this question, I ask why an athlete would put his body through consuming a gross amount of unhealthy food.

But, as you said, it's your male pride at stake.

Increase your food intake for the week prior to the event and then have nothing for breakfast on the day. He probably has an advantage if he's used to consuming huge amounts of food, and his body has learnt to tolerate it.

Just be aware that what you are doing is not good for your body.

Just pace yourself and eat light healthy foods work up an appetite, exercise, and it would be better if you ate just the fries because you get a little less full off of it. Eat just about 5 - 10 fries in 20 seconds but keep it a little slow. Have plenty of things to drink as well so it will be easier to eat the fries.

Ok, so it might be silly for you to be testing your male pride this way, but hey, you're just a kid so go for it. You won't hurt yourself. Have fun with it!

I'd suggest you make sure you pace yourself in the beginning and not eat more than the 1 per 20 seconds - that way you'll have more time before the "full" feeling strikes. It sounds like time counts more than quantity! So your friend doesn't catch on in the beginning to your "delay" tactics, just fuss around with opening and emptying ketchup packets and getting napkins and opening a straw for your beverage while he starts shoving lots of fries in his mouth!

Have a regular breakfast, then skip lunch so you'll be a little hungry. Have some ice water to help wash down the fries/rings rather than soda pop - the carbonation could make you burp/belch before you win the eating contest. BK's rings aren't normally greasy, but look out for that...you might be better off with their dry fries. I'd dip liberally in ketchup to make them easier to swallow after a while.
