is my mom a good mom?

my mom says she is a good mother but i'm skeptical. here is what she does
1. curses a lot(f word, s, word, she curses in jamaican when she's really mad)
2. Says i am stupid
3. says im lazy, nasty, and digusting
4. in front of people she said she would break my neck for something i didn't do
5. talks about me on the phone when she KNOWS FULLY WELL the person on the phone can hear me

But she says she's a good mom cuz she gives me food, clothes and shelter. she also gives me christmas gifts that i like

NO disrespect to your mother but to answer your question NO she isn't parenting you the correct way..i don't believe in questioning your parents but find a way to ask her how these negative insults are gonna enhance your strengths? parenting is more than feeding and clothing your children you don't owe your mom anything for her feeding you at all. she is the adult and she needs to act like it.
My best friend is Jamaican and i know alot of different cultures speak differently to others but she has not right to call you stupid because when your mom calls you stupid she is calling her self stupid and lazy because children are what they seen in there home!
i feel bad for you. my mom and i bumped heads for the longest and we still do and I'm the only one that has never disrespected my mom. my husband thinks my mom talks down to me cause she is jealous could this be it with your mom too?
try talking to her or if that doesn't work just keep your distance its sad but hang in there!

I do not need any children, however I recognise that if and or after we do, I will def. wish to and do what I can to be equipped to stick dwelling with them. I have heard too many horror experiences of day care. I imply I recognise there are a few available in the market which might be well, however wherein I are living there are not. Also, I suppose that it's fundamental to broaden that bond along with your youngster early on, and once more, to not make any running moms think unhealthy, I recognise that you'll broaden a bond along with your youngster it doesn't matter what, that is simply my emotions. I particularly experience running. I am no longer a "keep at dwelling" type of woman. But matters is also special if I ever have a youngster. It's rough to mention, however I might definately do what I would so I would keep at dwelling.

You appear to be the second generation of a foreign-born family. This is always hard.

Being a "good mom" involves many other things. Obviously you have good reason to resent these things that she does. I doubt if she will change.

Best bet? Tolerate it as long as you can bear it and then get out and on your own. It's not as hard as it seems.

Giving you food and shelter is her responsibility and does not make her a good mother. She is verbally abusing you.Talk to a teacher at school and tell her what is going on. She will know what to do. Good luck honey.

I have a feeling you and your mom are not getting along because of YOU. Are you acting up, in school or with friends? Being disrespectable? Moms are only human, and if you are pushing her buttons, she might just lose it from time to time. Maybe try being a little nicer and sweeter to her, it might help.
