Out of no where my nose just started leaking blood like a focet. I plugged the nostril that was bleeding, bleed all the way through the toilet paper, and started bleeding out the other, so i plugged both and let it leak out until it stopped. Anyone know if this is serious or why it happened at all.

It could probably be a busted nose vessel. I used to have this problem. I would just be sitting still, and tons of blood would just start pouring out of my nose, and it took a long time to stop. I had to get 3 nose surgerys to get the problem fixed. But it finally stopped. You should see a doctor if this happens constantly. If it is just a one time thing, the it is most likely a random nose bleed, and you shouldn't worry about it.

The most likely source is a small busted vessel in your nose, and it happens to many people-I had such an episode. The Docs can fix it with a painless quick procedure called cauterizing, when they chemically 'burn' the leaking vessel shut. It's actually kind of cool,,and it doesn't hurt. If you have no other symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, hi-blood pressure, a known bleeding history, just make an apt to see the Md, if otherwise, visit an ER. Oh yeah, don't take any Motrin or Ibuprofen or Aspirin, they encourage bleeding. Don't worry, it's cool.

huh? don't put tissues in your nostrils... sit down, head slightly forward, then pinch your nose(the soft part) for about 10 minutes. use your mouth in breathing while doing this.

maybe that due to the weather, or you have the tendency to adopt(?) extreme temperature... sudden change of temp usually causes nose bleeding

not knowing how old you are it could be nothing or it could be blood pressure problems. i had a friedn in high school that had that also. you need to be checked just in case. it could have broken blood vessel and not be noting but always be careful then sorry. take care.

Could be allergies.

Nosebleeds are generally not serious unless it happens after injury.
