I didn't watch the video, but I can answer the question in my case. When I focus on 'sharing my faith' as a specific goal, fear sets in and I get weird about it. John 15:5 (New International Version) says "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." When I am spending time 'abiding' (I think that's the word used in the KJV), by praying, reading my Bible, and in general pursuing a deeper relationship with God, the sharing my faith part becomes a natural extension of myself that I can't help because God has filled my cup and I am overflowing. When I avoid sharing my faith, instead of forcing myself to push through and do it anyway, I usually take it as an indicator that my walk with God needs tending to. As I rediscover the joy of my salvation, the rest follows. When I do it this way, then I actually have something genuine and real to share with someone, instead of feeling like I'm doing a sales pitch for Jesus.

Wow, I'm a pastor and I couldn't get through more than about twenty seconds of that. Why do Christian videos have to be so "cheesy"? To your question, there are a lot of reasons, but nothing breaks them down like doing it. It's addictive once you start because God does the work and we just get to go along for the ride.

Maybe, just maybe, respect for others? Perhaps genuine humility, not the self-righteousness that passes for righteousness among so many evangelical Christians.
