Well, that dog is a chinese crested. They come in two varieties: Hairless and powderpuff. Hairless have only hair on their heads and tails, sometimes none at all. Powderpuffs have thin, wispy hair all over their bodies. The hair isn't anything unusual, some people think it's ugly, but some people think it's cute. Usually the hair on their head is longer and thicker, but I'm not sure why that dog's hair is so thin and short.
The twisted muzzle could be a result of poor breeding. His jaw is most likely deformed, or it just looks twisted, I'm not sure.
His tongue hangs out because he probably doesn't have any teeth, or very few teeth. Toy breeds have very crowded mouths and poor oral hygiene, so they can lose all of their teeth if you don't stay on top of brushing and yearly cleaning! When a dog has no teeth or very few teeth, there isn't anything to keep its tongue in its mouth, so it just hangs out the side.

That dog is a Chinese Crested. They pretty much all look that way. There is a certain dog like that who holds the title for world's ugliest dog. I'm not sure what makes their tongues hang out but it is normal. The network Animal Planet recently had the showing of the ugliest competition. If you go to their website you can probably find out more.

This breed of dog can sometimes look like this. I know it is scary but there are more of that breed that look even worse. But as for his tounge sticking out, it is probly because he has no teeth. Or his jaw hurts and he has his tounge in a position that makes his jaw hurt less. Or he's just hot.

I am not making fun of this dog. I am a dog lover so you can trust me on this. This dog or a dog that looks a lot like it was name Ugliest Dog of the Year for several yrs running. It is a big deal "beauty" contest. I know, I know. Its sick, but its the truth & I am sure its owners are just as proud of him/her as the owners of a Best of Show winner.

It's actually a fairly common deformity in the breed. That dog is called a Chinese Crested, and due to generations of inbreeding, one of the common problems is that they lose their teeth, and when there's no teeth, there's nothing keeping their tongue inside of their mouth. I think I saw this dog in the World's Ugliest Dog contest. Most of these dogs find very loving homes with owners who take special care of them.

That is a very old Chinese crested dog. They only have hair on legs, head, neck and tail. I think it may be Sam who won the world's ugluiest dog contests a few years in a row until he died. The dog has no teeth, that is why the tongue is sticking out.

I have absolutely no idea.
If you don't know, then that's telling me, you haven't taken your dog to the vet. Would like to know why? Have you tryed at all to get info about the condition of your dog? All you have to do is go the library (FREE) and look it up.
Let me say this only one more time ... TAKE YOUR DOG TO THE VET!
By the way, is this your dog or a picture of a dog you found in a magazine or book and now are asking, "how did the poor baby get this way?" If this is the case, then info must have been included. What's going on? TRUTH or DARE .........

It's called inbreeding, all of our purebred dogs are inbred and all are very closely related, this was just a genetic mutation from a careless breeder who bred too closely or "backbred" too much.
Backbreeding is when you breed a son to a mother or a father to a daughter to get a specific quality out of the offspring, it was how all of our purebreds were created.
