Carpet is cheapest and will be soiled and ruined soonest. Hardwood flooring is ridiculously expensive. Go with laminate flooring. It is easy to install and easy to change. Sam's club has the least expensive that I have seen and it looks fine.

I don't really know how much carpet is going for now a days, but I do know a little something about wood. And it's a lot cheaper to get carpet layed down than wood... plus carpet is faster to lay down than wood. Not to mention: it depends on what wood you want to lay down because the wood may either be glued down or nailed down or something else entirely. I suggest getting carpet if you wanna go cheap and fast.

A compromise could be laminate. Might be more expensive then carpet. Easier to maintain, but harder to strip it out sometimes. It's thin enough you could go back over it later on with something else. It could also be an eye-sore if there is a visible seam.

Carpet per square yard is probably cheaper than hardwood is per square foot. Plus, installation is cheaper.

carpet is a techniques greater low-value.......... purely off the main suitable of my head the version must be 4 to 5 thousand money........... in all danger around $2000 for the carpet whilst in comparison with$7000 for the hardwood.........lot of variables nonetheless...............
