It's a nice vehicle, solid build, but nothing special. For the same money I'd buy a Toyota Rav4 instead though, better resale value and better mpg. You should also check out the Nissan Rogue, Honda CRV and the Tucson's twin the Kia Sportage. The best advice you can get is that most new cars aren't worth it. The best value is in the 2-3 year old used car purchase. I bought a new 06 Azera in January 07 for $25250, retail was $31000, well 9 months later the trade in value is only $18000. Check www.kbb.com to see what 06 Tucson's are worth and then make your decision.

For the difference in price, you would be better off buying the full size Hyundai Sante Fe. More room, but better options.
