I'm always accidentally drop food down my cleavage.
No matter where I am or who I'm with, I don't want to be rude and I don't want to look like a gross slob. Do I take a napkin and get it out? Or do I ask to be excused and take it out in the bathroom?

I'm asking because today I was having dinner with my family and I accidentally dropped a piece of soy chicken down my shirt and without thinking I fished it out and then my parents had very unhappy looks on their faces.

It's hard finding dresses or blouses that cover your cleavage when you're busty but not big everywhere else. And no, I'm not wearing a bib (napkin).

I can so relate to this. As long as it's not messy (like sauce-covered), wait until the end of the meal and excuse yourself to the ladies' room. Otherwise, if you're like me, you'd be running there after every couple of bites, and then people start to wonder.....

If the food is obvious, but you can discreetly remove it, do so. If removing the food will entail lots of drama, as in perhaps wiping spaghetti and sauce from your bosom, excuse yourself to clean up. If the food is not visible (because it has fallen far enough into your clothing to be hidden) do neither. Wait until dinner is over and excuse yourself to "freshen up".
The general rule to follow is that you should draw as little attention to yourself as possible. Excusing yourself repeatedly to extricate wayward food morsels is, in itself distracting, and therefore, inappropriate.

If this is a regular problem, consider wearing less revealing clothing when dining out.

I know you won't choose my answer--but I will try anyway--to gently point out that you said this happens "always"--which tells me that you should take some steps to keep this from happening in the first place. Which means that you will not have to excuse yourself or embarrass others in the second place.

Please consider wearing a garment that doesn't reveal your cleavage which will solve the problem or be more careful in bringing the food to your mouth.

Go to the bathroom and remove it even if you know the person, and especially if you're out in public. If there is no bathroom around, just try to make light of it and remove it as soon as you get to one.

Excuse yourself and go to the bathroom. Maybe you should position a napkin so that it covers your bosom.

You do the latter - leave the table and take out the food from the cleavage.

It would be much more polite to go to the bathroom and remove it, especially if you are in public or with someone you don't know really well.

Try not to call attention to what happened. Go to the bathroom and take it out.

Put less food on your fork and lean forward over your plate. If the food drops, it'll land on your plate instead of your chest,
