I once saw a documentary about George Washington, George would pray before every battle. Once during battle, a Indian Chief and his warriors hid in the woods just off the battle field, the chief said to his men to shoot at the one on the white horse. The Chief and his men were excellent marksmen, this was documented that the chief said to his men to stop shooting that he is protected by God, about 18 of them that fired about 15 to 20 shots each at George all missed. It was also documented when George got to camp that night, he took off his jacket and bullets fragments fell out, and fragments fell from his hair as well.

As much and as little as anyone else that lives or has lived. No more, no less. But I think that prayer helps. Legends always tend to be created about famous people, and most are about 90% false with a small truth to them. Stuff like this generally starts out with some truth such as the fact that it's true that Washington was shot at by many Indians at one time, but it also makes sense that it would look better if the Indian Chief said that his braves fired well and hit Washington rather than say that they missed, causing the Chief and his braves to lose stature and prestige amoungst his tribe and other tribes that might want to attack them thinking they would be easy targets since they couldn't shoot well.

If you lack a belief in gods that makes you an atheist. Since you do believe in supernatural phenomenon that would make you an atheist with supernatural or spiritualist beliefs I guess. Spiritual beliefs don't have to belong to any specific religious subset. The angel thing is a bit strange to me as they are typically thought of as entities that reside in heaven with god I thought. I have a friend who is an atheist and believes we have a spirit energy that transcends to another realm when we die. I am skeptical based on evidence. You don't need to conform to a label though.

If this is as "well documented" as you say it is, then why is this the first I've heard of it--sorry kid, but I think you're being played for a fool. And by the way, if God was guiding him, he sure put ol' George in the company of some rather cantankerous atheists--strange huh?

I have done some research on this subject, and there is mixed results.

he may have been a good christian, or he may have been mixed up in the cult of the Masons.

or perhaps a combination of the 2.

I highly suggest reading his prophecy though:
