This is my opinion. God created man to have free will. If it had not been for the devil existing, there would be no oposing side of God to choose. God wants us to choose Him. The devil gives a chance to choose God.

Good question. now the answer. God is an all-knowing being. With neither a future, past or present. So the actions of the devil, are known to God. The devil can not go against the will of God, for if he did, then God would not be God. simple. So the devil exists for a reason, to be evil. So to define what is good, u must have evil, to define evil you must have good. That is why God created him, and lets him exist. It is our test as man to resist him and follow God.

I believe this was permitted by God for 2 major reasons:
1. Because of the laws of order.
2. This furthered His desire for Adam to have a choice in choosing to obey, therefore allowing love thru choice to exist.
3. Adam had the authority to stop satan and bring all the earth including the serpent and the Tree of Knowledge back into their place under God away from corruption.
Lets remember:
1. God allowed it.
2. God did give power to break it.
Does a father allow the traffic to exist in front of his house despite the child's safety concerns? Yes. Because even the traffic and road serves the father. Though indirectly.

the devil was actually one of God's cherub that surrounded his throne he was the "light bearer"
that became prideful and caused revolt against God and faced expulsion from the "mount of God" Lucifer now is "the prince of the power of the air". Lucifer had his free will taken when he rebelled in heaven. As God has given us our free will to choose to serve him or the devil, we must not rebel against Gods calling for we may find ourselves in a dark area of our lives. Remember there is a spiritual war that we cannot see but really does exist, God wants us to go to heaven to be with him, he is our creator. The devil also known as Satan wants to kill, steal and destroy you, me and anyone who exists on earth so choose Christ and you've chosen life. Just as God gave Lucifer free will he has given us a free will God created everything out of his Love and does not force us to love and serve him. it all began with Lucifer's rebellion and God has defeated him, he hangs around to see how many souls will serve him . but in the end Satan has still lost the battle.

I want to explain this will probably get a lot of thumbs down.
If you read the first part of the book of Job you will find that basically God makes a bet with Satan concerning Job.
Well God has made the same bet with Satan concerning us.
God could have destroyed Satan a long time ago but wouldn't making a bet and watching your arch enemy squirm as he watches himself lose before he goes to his final destruction the best sort of revenge?

D-evil is just our carnal minds or earthly mind wrongly discerning the truth of God. God is in all things, omnipresent and he manifests himself as words in our mind. When we rightly divide the word of truth we are seeing spiritually, with our heaven mind. When we leftly divide the word (take it literal) we create all forms of evil including the d-evil which is just a ploy of religion to control people. It's all within, not without. God is in you, not a God afar off. His son is that small still voice of your conscience, your best friend that is always with you and never leaves or forsakes you. D-evil is a creation of the carnal mind when we take scriptures literally instead of seeing the hidden manna wrapped in the spiritual allegory or parable. Our carnal mind is so foolish that it will even believe in talking serpents offering apples to people. How many of these talking serpents have you seen? Grace and Peace

God gives us the freedom to choose what we want to do, but what are the consequences of choosing to sin. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death.....Are you willing to pay the price for a certain action? God dose not prevent us from acting foolishly; he only reminds us of the consequences of foolishness.

When Jesus rose from the dead, satan's days were numbered. He has already been defeated, and when God does something, He does it perfectly, therefore, satan's total destruction is all that remains to be fulfilled.
We have learned how it feels to live in satan's kingdom, and this knowledge will make us truly appreciate God's kingdom.

God made mankind with free-will so we could choose to love.
The angels were made to serve mankind, but Lucifer refused.
He considered humans to be animals, while he's spiritual.
Michael drove Lucifer & his minions out of Heaven,
they took up residence in the earth, to tempt mankind.
This way, we have a real choice to make, to serve God.

Because he gives you the right to lie or to tell the truth. otherwise known as free will. People can think what ever they want to on what free will is... that's just how I see it.
