Do you think its ok if a 7th grader went out with a 9th grader? By the way there is a one year age difference. This kid is nice,caring and he's funny. But my parents will not let me date him.

i think it's perfectly ok to date, it's only 1 year, thats NOT that much at all...but of course I'm not your parent and since your only in 7th grade you can't drive or do anything so if you tried to date him the only time you would see him would be in school, and it probably wouldn't last that long.

Well when you're younger 1 year is a big difference. Kids grow up faster and experience more things in a years time than people do when they are older. Say a 22 year old and 23 year old. When you get a little older you'll understand why your parents won't let you date him. They are only trying to protect your innocence. I would say it would be okay if the boy came over to your house to meet your family and had dinner, if you involve your parents in your personal life more they will trust you more. So give a little and get a little.

Yepp when i was in 6th grade i dated a 8th grader and it lasted to when he was in 9th i broke up with him. I think its totally fine just set your limits to the guy. And make sure hes responisble and a good guy.
Explain to your parents hes a good person, and you won't do anything bad.

If your parents say no, then don't do it. You have your parents for life and this boyfriend will only last a few months. It is way better to keep your parents trust!

well, there's a really big difference from middle to high school, and if he's already joined a different crowd, then it would be a little difficult to date him right now, anyway. maybe you should wait until you're in the same school at least.

well if your in the seventh hes in the ninth...and you like him I'm assuming he likes you..maybe you should talk to your parents first,let them know how you feel because if you try t be sneaky and go out with him anyway you'uu start to feel bad about lying,if he calls your home and theyre home theyre gonna ask whos that young man, or if threy ask his name when he calls and he says its him theyre gonna feel as if you cant be trusted think of your future, goinng out dasting,driving, see all that accounts for it..good luck ..

i jus think its to young to start dating wow i didnt start dating till i was 15 but i guess times change but if u parents dont let dont break ther trust or beleive me it wont get any easier..the more your parents trust u the more they will let u do but dont ever disobey them beleive me it will jus get harder for your through out your teenage life jus wait your young
