If you have a mac...

You CAN create multiple itunes libraries and accounts (hold the option key and click itunes icon, select create new library.) You will need to do this each time to change the default library when you start itunes (also works in iphoto)

If you have windows.... it does not. (As far as I know...you can try various command keys and see)
However, if something is deleted, as long as you don't empty the trash in itunes its not really deleted.

Make her her own user account and that should help

The only way to do that is to make her an account for herself. Then copy her music over to her music folder and if she deletes her music, yours is still safe. iTunes doesn't have a way to keep accounts separate, it leaves that up to the computer. Also, if you have 2 iPods connecting to the same library, you will confuse iTunes. Make your mom her own computer name and things will go much smoother.

Yes when she plugs hers in...it will ask for a name for the ipod that is plugged in...give it her name...and you should be good to go...
