A long time Ukrainian custom, still eaten today, with the aspect of remembering times past as past friends and relatives. Much the same as our New Years day celebration in which old friends are remembered.

Earlier years saw them served in a more traditional way, however, today affords more ingenious recipes.

They sure taste good. The Eggs date back to Pagan times but I don't know if the perogies are just tasty. or if they have meaning..They are found in so many countries, they must have been around for a long time.
