If USA really competed in agriculture with all the Latin American countries it has signed 'free trade agreements' with, and eliminated its tariffs, subsidies, etc. you would see a significant drop in illegal migration, because most are poor farmers driven out of their land due to unemployment and American subsidized farm imports. So please if you want to complain about immigrants, point the finger at Washington and big agriculture.

Do tell! What planet are you from? The USA doesn't compete with Latin American countries in agriculture or anything else. Our farmers are still here farming with modern equipment not mules and hand tools. We aren't whining about immigrants just illegal aliens. Key Word illegal. Have you read the law; Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, "Improper Entry by Alien," any citizen of any country other than the United States who: enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or Eludes examination or inspection by immigration officer; or Attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact; has committed a federal crime."

The United States wasn't the only country to sign those free trade agreements. You think the Mexican Government is doing a good job providing for the poor? Is the Mexican Government helping out Mexican Farmers? Washington has played a role but so has Mexico City and a lot of other countries. Vicente Fox and Calderon are big on Free Trade. Let's not act like the United States is the only country at fault. The Mexican Government is much worse and they have very little for their people.
But is annoying as hell when Americans blame the immigrants and not the corporations that hire them. I hate how a lot of Americans demonize the illegal immigrants themselves who are just here to provide a better opportunity for their families.

why should we compete with a third world country who sends people over here illegally? Why support such people in the first place. We open up our border and let immigrants in then when our country becomes taken advantage of, these particular immigrants AND many groups that are from this origin cry and complain. Why are you here anyway? You came because you wanted better for yourself and your family and we let you in. Now you go and disrespect OUR LAWS and OUR CULTURE and most importantly OUR PEOPLE. Why would we want you here. That just sucks if you ask me.
As for this country neighbor to the south, they are so corrupt, it should not surprise anyone what its people will do. Let them all go back and watch them all corrupt eachother. I

If you want to be an american, come the right way; if you want to be a you know what, then stay there we dont want you here.

Illegal Immigration Is Not A Victimless Crime
Apologists for illegal immigration try to paint it as a victimless crime, but the fact is that illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population — the poor, minorities, and children.

Illegal immigration causes an enormous drain on public funds. The seminal study of the costs of immigration by the National Academy of Sciences found that the taxes paid by immigrants do not begin to cover the cost of services received by them. The quality of education, health care and other services for Americans are undermined by the needs of endless numbers of poor, unskilled illegal entrants.

Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants desperate for any job unfairly depresses the wages and working conditions offered to American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees

I plagiarized this from one of the answers to my questions.
So often, we get caught up in a debate over political semantics and end up ignoring the hard-shell realities of what we're talking about. According to ImmigrationCounters.com , here are some of the realities that the Flake-Gutierrez Bill would airbrush out of the picture:

Number of Illegal Aliens in the Country
20,807,645

Money Wired toMexico City since January, 2006
13,001,672.00

Cost of Social Security Services for Illegal Aliens since 1996
$397,450,739,563.00

Number of Children of Illegal Aliens in Public Schools
3,958,789
Cost of Illegal Aliens in K-12 Since 1996:
$ 13, 965,063,431.00

Number of Illegal Aliens Incarcerated
332,594
Cost of Incarcerations Since 2001
$ 1,398,127,429.00

Number of Illegal Aliens Fugitives
642,799

Skilled Jobs Taken by Illegal Aliens
None

Figures can trick your eyes. Take particular note that items 2,3,5, and 7 reflect BILLIONS not millions of dollars -- and that item 3 exceeds one-third of a TRILLIONdollars.

Can you imagine how much it will cost taxpayers if we triple the number of Illegals entering this country!!

So, What's in a Billion?.......
The next time you hear a politician use the word"billion" in a casual manner, think about whether you want the "politicians" spending your tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.

A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.

B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.

C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.

E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . .

Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?

a. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.00.

b. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.00.

c. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.00.

Washington, D.C. ... HELLO!!! ... Are all your calculators broken??

This is too true.........And these numbers don't lie.........and, it's not funny!!! lol

Why can't the immigrants complain to their own government for being mistreated or as you say pushed out of their country. Why do they have to cram their way here to the US? Why the US? Why not go to South America, Central America or any of the Carribean Island. Why weigh down the USA with all these people. Go somewhere else. Go to China, Japan, Russia, and see will those countries let you slide across their borders. Stop picking at the USA. It can only handle so much. You have a government, complain to him. Not the US Government. What is your government doing to help his people?

Facts

What part of the word ILLEGAL do you NOT understand?

Since the NAFTA, illegal Mexicans, Asians, Africans and Europeans, being unscreened for diseases, have been responsible for a resurgence in diseases this country had eradicated.

62% of Drug trafficking is done through the Mexican border via illegal aliens with guns and the help of Mexican troops (normally this would be considered a declaration of war)

Yes, ALL businesses who employ illegals are one of the main reasons for this invasion (Maleable, illegal employees =more $ bottom line)

Yes our government/corporations add to the problem socially by usurping our language and making we the people support their children and their medical.

I could go on but......in the long run...this could easily turn into a civil war. This is a problem of no trivial concern.

MOST not all americans whine about immigrants mostly just the illegal ones because they dont fully understand the govt plans for the illegals and because they have been left hanging in the air so to speak untill the next election they are scared, confused, and very very angry.

Look at he way your amigos trashed their own ole Mececo and have made Los Angeles, Houston, soon to be Dallas third world countries. They did not have enough guts to stay in their own country and fight for their rights so they sneaked into America to get freebies from the taxpayers pocket. How is is right that I have to pay for the medical, education, high property taxes for police protection, road tax, etc and they reap the benefits. This must stop and Americans are fed up with these ungrateful mexican flag waveing people.
