I am looking for a digital camera for personal use and for taking pictures for my yearbook class.

My parents have told me that I have to buy it with my own money so here are somethings to keep in mind:

*it has to be around 100 dollars! $140 is my VERY max.

*needs to have high resoultion (yearbook pictures have to be good quality)

*i would like it to be a color, prefably pink but it doesn't have to be.

*i have to be able to go any buy it, not order it off the internet (so therefore please no eBay, Amazon, etc)i have a bestbuy, circut city, target, etc around me.

Have any good ones in mind?

thanks!
Guinea Pig Girl

Put the Canon Powershot A560 in the mix and choose that. I know, I know, I've blown your budget by ten dollars, since it is listed at Target.com fro $149.99. (You can get it through Yahoo! Shopping at B&H Photo for $135 and they ship very quickly.) It's better than the other cameras you mentioned. The way to get the best quality is to fill the frame with your subject so you won't have to do any cropping (or only a little) and the lens on this camera zooms out enough to make a difference in some photos. Besides that, it has an optical viewfinder and - funny as it sounds - this might be a less conspicuous way to take pictures for candid shots. It beats holding your camera out at arm's length.

If you need to shop locally, you might have to stick to the Canon A550 to meet your budget, though - if you can still find one.

Or - Nikon Coolpix L11 - $130 at Target:

try best buy or circuit city. not all target people know what theyre doing and they cant help you too much.. they just work there. the circuit city guys really know there stuff. I wouldnt bother looking online cause not all of them will be in stores and sometimes theres completey different things in stores. Just go and look and ask for some help. tell them what you want and what price range and youll figure it out within no time. most places have christmas sales in november and december so if you looking to save some money you may want to pick it out and then wait a bit.

Try Kodak Easyshare P880. It's basically point and shoot but it takes good quality pictures. Also it's 8MP. When taking head shots just get close to your subject and use a tripod to eliminate shake. Also try to use a plain light colored background like white, cream or light blue. It also takes great shots of buildings and group shots like class pictures and your school facade. I suggest you use a photo editing software like Photoshop or Jasc Paintshop Pro just to fine tune your shots. Yes, you all can have flawless skin in your yearbook.
Good luck!

I would go and search around the following stores,

OfficeMax
Sams
Bestbuy
Walmart
Target

Any other places will be good!

P.S. I am getting one next month when My report card comes in!

Yeah!
