I would really like to know which is better im trying to convince my parents to get me a mac and they keep telling me that i will be sorry. So give some reasons for your choice!!!! Thanks!!!

If more expensive equals better than the Mac is better.
It depends on what you plan on using your computer for. I'll even put it in a list for you:
PC is better for:
Gaming
Writing Programs (Visual Studio, etc)
Internet/web browsing (It's the same internet, so why buy an expensive computer)
Less expensive computer hardware
Less expensive software
Mac is better for:
Some of the publishing software is nice
It looks cooler/more trendy.
People don't create virus/spyware/malware for it... yet.
I used a Mac back in the 90's, long before it was cool, but have used a PC for the past 7 years. I would most likely not buy a Mac unless I had a specific reason to, but I can't think of one reason at this moment. The only bad thing with Windows is people install all types of junk over the years and after a while performance is poor. I have a 7 year old PC with a clean windows install and while surfing the web/writing papers/etc, I can't tell how old it is, until I run a modern game.

Been using a PC for ages. A mac now comes with OS X which means the likely hood of getting viruses is none. But you might on the other hand carry a virus. This is no harm on a mac, but if it is shared / emailed somehow to a PC user you might be the one to blame. Yes there are viruses for mac, but not many. I am in a decision myself, I will be getting a Macbook just for the fun of it and I think iLife 08 is far better (in terms of graphics and ease of use) for presentations. Some may argue that is so simple and not many settings to play around, others may argue that it cost too much for so little. In other words, a mac is stable to run, safe and everything just works together.

Do not get a Mac.......your parents are right. you will be very sorry. Most pc games and software are not mac compatible and you have to get special software... youre better off getting a pc

there are lots of things that could make someone choose a mac over a pc. for my opinion i think macs are better. they seem to have a sleeker look and are easier to use and set up. tell your parents that they are the best quality for money and they have alot of great features.
