try Ebay, craiglist and whipads. If that doesn't work you may want to try local consignments shops. Some local bridal shops also buy gently used or new dresses.
If you do place online ads make sure to have an eye catching phrase and great pictures.
Good luck!

You can do cragislit, ebay, or theknot.com has local classfied boards.
Don't expect to get 1400. It doesn't matter if they are never worn. They are still considered used and size 4 is unusual for a wedding dress. Most brides are a 10-12.
Used wedding items will get about half of their retail value. It's not wedding season where tons of brides are shopping, they are probably not that unusual so you have competition with all the weddings that just happened, and brides need an incentive to buy something sight unseen that they could get guranteed from a shop for not much more.

The bridesmaids dresses don't have to go with the bridal gown. They should just go with the overall style of the wedding in general. Those dresses are very nice. Go with what you like, and what looks best on your girls.

I'm sorry about your wedding even if it has never been worn you will be hard pressed getting a $1000 for them a few ideas would be ebay, craigslist i think your best bet would be a consignment shop
To Etiquette Gal this in my opinion she is not trying to sell it here just asking what IS the best way to sell it there is a diffrence!
To those people you said keep it for next time in my opinion are wrong!
When you buy your wedding dress you buy it with hopes and dreams with that person you had plan to marry it would be an insult to who she did marry!

Go on ebay.com and you can sell your dresses on line or go to the shop where you all brought them and get a store credit or a refund.
I am proud of you that you called off the wedding if more brides did this and waited for the right one there would be a lot less ex wives. I wish you peace and all the best that life has to offer:)

I would say e-bay or a consignment shop. Also, see if you know anyone that is getting married and might be in need of these things.
Also, if you can't find anyone to sell the items to, consider donating them.

ebay probalby your best option. A yard sale or consignment shop wont give you any money but at least on ebay you can decide the lowest price for them.

If he called it off, take his butt to court and sue for the cost of all the expenses you are out.
Do you have a little newspaper that is free in grocery stores that advertise stuff individuals and businesses are selling? If so try that. Where I live, we have something called the Green Sheet.
