Wow good answers uh well if those three military powers went to war, who stands the best chance of surviving? Would it really go as far as a nuclear holocaust

Very low, too much trade at stake for the Russians and Chinese to risk.

in conventional warfare, if it was a free-for-all, then the US would win, IF we weren't tyed down in Iraq and had the full brunt of our armed forces to utilize. But Russia and China would probably ally with each other, and then we'd lose. To make a long story short, sure, the US has the most technologically advanced (some would say “the best”) tanks, crews, pilots, ships, subs, aircraft, weapons, etc., but Russia and China are quickly closing the technology gap, and when you combine numbers with technology, the result is quite deadly. Our carrier battle groups would be overwhelmed by swarms of missiles, some possibly carrying tactical nukes, the long accepted way to definitely kill a CVBG. Our fighters, tanks, infantry, etc. would all be overwhelmed by hordes of Russian and Chinese hardware. Of course, we’d probably get Austrailia, Israel, Great Britain, France, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Taiwan on our side, but would it be enough? I pray we never find out.

The chances are the US will be a bit pushed by Israel to overtly create an excuse for the next Holocaust "sacrifice"... this time not only against the Jewish, but Muslims, Christians and even Buddhists too will be sent to the other world in a one way ticket... As it is said in the Talmud "dont do to others what you dont like to be done on you"! But maybe there is a new commandement written by the scribes of Marketing Communication arena and the Key holders of the great temple of International Finance Towers, that will justify the next idiocy of mankind... All these "illuminated's" of war should know that Muslims have been taught by the Quran that a believer in the unique God should only defend himself if attacked in his territory, his family or his belief! And anyone with any sense can believe that!! Money does not make anyone God, even if many of those who have money dont believe in God, but think they are the kings of a kingdom called the planet Earth. But true religious belief can give humans superior power and resistance against all which sophisticated weapons and media propaganda could destroy... and if the Earth is turned to Hell, only those who die may find Peace in some other Paradise... The chances therefore, of a conflict, is proportionate to the degree of idiocy of those who will send the first bomb! And who has been mentioning WWIII lately?!! Sure enough the Red tie President!!! of the United Sacrifiers of Aipac-consultants...

That is a question that I lived from childhood. My dad was a B-52, SAC pilot ... fully nuked, locked and loaded. I lived on American air bases all over the world ... was at Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC during the Cuban Missile Crisis ... only 10 years old at the time. It was real scary for the adults ... I was only a kid, but could feel and sense the urgency, doom and gloom. That is the closest that the world ever came to all out nuclear war. I grew up to the sound of roaring B-52's taking off at all hours ... what a lullaby. BTW, B-52's are one of the loudest air planes taking off.

USA, Russia and China are very aware of the consequences of a nuclear attack. They won't do it first... because of MAD ... mutual assured destruction. No one wins. So, no one dares to pull the trigger first. It's rational insanity.

I worry about irrational Muslim kooks ... like that wanker in Iran who is a mouthpiece for the fanatical Islamic trigger happy freaks. They are scary.

I think that USA, Russia and China should squash them like cockaroaches. We'd all sleep easier. Same goes for Kim Jon Il from N. Korea ... super freaks and a menace to world peace.

There are theories that from within China she can systematically stall our computer's. Given that almost every part we have in these boxes is produced by China. Toys are just a prelude. IF indeed China & Russia work together than do not exclude the Castro protege Hugo Chavez. He is said to be linked to purchases of subs from Russia. MS-13 the nasty gangs are said to be here in the US already and more crossing Mexico's border every day. Now we engage Iran who will follow?

Worst part is they all believe the days of one US Super Power are over. Who will go with the US?

Right now pray diplomacy works. If I may this is the man I feel has the nads to provide US a chance. The one in pant suits is now, and always has been a fake. Mahalo.

I have 30 years military experience.....I doubt we will ever have a direct conflict with either nation.....it is not in their best interest....Russia has too many internal problems.....both economic and political....China can destroy us economically they do not need to fight us....the only way we might cross swords is over our support of Taiwan.....or their support of North Korea.....but that is highly unlikely

The war of the future is not conventional but unconventional for a variety of reasons

Eventually, there will be another world war. There's no way that everyone will get along with everyone else. Tensions are always on the rise vs. countries, and until we have equal amounts of whites and blacks in Africa, Chinese and Japanese in China and what ever else, there will be a threat of another war. We as a species need to start looking out for the world as a whole, ignore how one culture feels about the other, and just realize that we are all the same on the inside.

Very slim. One of the great paradoxes of modern times is that the presence nuclear weapons prevent world war. I really wouldn't lose any sleep over this, if I were you.

If you're talking about a 3 way fight, slim to none. i can see China forming an alliance with Russia to fight the US. Putin is already threadening the US if we dare to interfer in Iran. Welcome to the cold war...I lived thru the first one. Fortunately, Russia is a paper tiger.

Chinese leadership doesn't say if, they say when. I just hope my grandchildren and nieces don't have to see it happen during their lifetime. Hopefully we will have amiable relations until the communist hardliners have passed on. The next Chinese generation to be in leadership likely desires no conflict as they are modeling their economy like the USA's. Russia is a mystery to me, just miserable alcoholics in a desolate place.
