Can anyone tell me...is there a limit to how many people are accepted in to the STA-21 program each year?

I was told very few people actually apply, which is why so few people are accepted, but I wondered if there is actually a limit to how many applicants can be accepted each term.

actually hundreds, if not thousands apply. Most apply several years running. Average for acceptance is three times. Only a few are accepted because they ration how many baby Ensigns they want each year. It is based on projected need. each community only has so many open slots , so that's how they determine who gets accepted. Whileyou don't actually get told your community until just before you graduate, you are allowed to make your preferences known, and they go by that. and yes, budget is a large factor. Only so much money per year to fund the program.

I'm not sure if there is a limit or not, probably. Not very many people are accepted though. Most people are turned down on the first try, I guess to see how bad you really want it.
