I am sure most speak at a normal speed.It just seems fast when you don't understand or are new at any language.

I think that is difficult if you are not fluent in the language to keep up.
I am fluent in Spanish, but, when I went as an exchange student to Mexico (at 15), it took me awhile before I could keep up. Also, accents vary by region, so, that can make it seem more difficult, and, slang terms throw off any sense of understanding that you may have.
As you get more experience, though, it comes easier. I speak fast in both languages and am always told by people to slow down..... But, truthfully, I notice no difference in other people... Some talk fast, some don't.....

Some do, yes, but so do I. It's not really something that only Spanish speakers do, it's just something that some people do.

it really depends because in Venezuela they talk really slow and in a different accent. Some parts in mexico talk really fast and other places as well... i guess it really depends
