It's haraam to pierce your lip.

So she would be better off not doing that.

The good things she does are good, but she would be better if she left out lip piercing

It is said that women are allow to wear Jewelry because this is a female trait. The ears may be pierced and maby the nose if it is part of the culture. As far as the lips I would say its looked as mukrooh meaning it is not highly recommended, or its looked down upon. If a Muslim women wears any Jewelry then she has to cover it up when she is abroad and not display it because its a form of beauty, so I would think that she should not wear it around people that she cannot display her beauty to.
Also some scholars may say that this is a form of mutilation.
And Allah knows best

It is ok for Muslim women to wear earrings or bracelets as long as they are covering their bodies including their face and hair. But lip piercings are not allowed because they resemble the non Muslims and Muslims are not supposed to imitate the non Muslims in manners, or dress. I would feel sorry for her and remind her that she is not allowed to do that. Yes the Hadiths say that all Muslim women have to cover their faces.

First and foremost, congratulations! I am so happy that you understand what Islam really is, not what it's portrayed to be in the media. You have made the best descision of your life! You can get plenty of information at your local mosque. All you have to do is ask and the entire community will lead you on the path to righteousness. May Allah swt make this an easy journey for you and grant understanding in your family's hearts. Salam.
