If I were omniscient, I sure wouldn't be playing games with pathetic creatures trying to see if they would believe in me by giving them random evidence.

Yes, God does require faith, or at least belief which is tantamount to faith, in order to permit you into heaven.

how do you know what god desires?
how do you know god is a he?
how do you know what you know is the truth?
Okay 987654321abc those are three dumb questions, however I will help you out by answering them.
1) I know what God desires, or at leasts what he says he desires (if he existed) because he says so in the Bible. He says he wants you to believe in him (faith) in order to permit you entrance into heaven.
2) I do not know that God is a he. He is the default pronoun used when gender is unknown. You should take the time to expand your knowledge of the English language.
3) Possible the stupidest question of them all. How do I know what I know is the truth. Well let's see because I know it is the truth. If it wasn't true I wouldn't know it. However, in the case that you are unable to articulate your thoughts clearly, and you meant to ask how do I know what I believe is true, well I don't. It is the best conclusion I have been able to makes using logic.

S. D. C. Okay so you are using circular logic and a fear based approach to religion. Two things an omniscient being would not value highly and all see through as not being faith.

He gave us everything we need including faith to be able to rise above and overcome and realize we are more than flesh and blood ..

HE knows HE exists - He can hold up a mirror, as it were, and see Himself.
We, on the other hand, cannot see Him personally, but we can certainly see the evidence of His existance. If we read His Word, we can learn much more about Him. As a matter of fact, when Adam fell, God COULD have simply wiped him, and us, right out of existance. Instead, He devised a plan to "buy back" what was lost in the Garden of Eden -- that is, a plan to bring us back into fellowship with Him. Whether ir not we accept that plan is up to us. But, make no mistake, the very cost of this plan, God's only Son dying on a cross for mankind, was the ultimate expression of love. My guess is you would not place YOUR child on a cross to die for the sins of a world full of ingratitude.
Faith is just that. Faith. You have faith that when you go get in your car that it will start. You are not staring at all the processes that go into it starting, but you have a good idea it will. You have faith in your brakes, that they will stop your car. If you didn't have faith in them, I doubt you would drive over 5-10 MPH.
The evidence is far greater than random. I challenge you to read the book of John (Bible --4th book of the New Testament) all the way through. I think you may find some answers there, if you are genuinely seeking them.

Faith is required to take the first step in any area, after that you will get indications, that tell you whether you are progressing in a productive direction. The proof will be felt inside that it is working for you. Then it is beyond faith, because you feel that it works. So God does not require any more faith than exploring any new area requires.

Do you have a love in your life? Do you stalk this person 24/7, holding a leash around their neck and a gun to their head demanding a Stalinist obedience to your every word and whim? Likely not. But when you are apart, for work or whatever, do you have the faith and trust in your heart that this other person is not sleeping around on you. You know that if you were doing the whole stalker, Stalin thing, they would not really love you but be forced to love you, which is empty and meaningless. Yet, letting them do their own thing risks them not choosing you (i.e. you lover cheating on you behind your back). Faith is that part where you know that they love you, though you can't always be there in their life, knowing that they still choose you. God give us free will to choose Him. He requires faith in the very same fashion that we require faith with our own intimate relationships.

God is neither Male nor Female. God displays both properties of gender. When Adam was created, God made Adam in God's image, genderless. When God made Eve from Adam, the two were unique unto themselves (engendered) both housing equal amonts of God's qualities. So when we use pronouns to address God, generally it is out of laziness, but in specific situations it can be used to address a gender associated property that God displays.

well theres a few things that i would disagree with in that statement. starting with the fact that God thinks you are pathetic. the main reason God desires your attention or faith is because He painstakingly created us. our every compoent and look and loves you just because He made you diffrent. God doesnt play games, He created us for the purpose of having a friend, a child, someone intellegent to be with, someone diffrent, and once a gain He loves you because of that. but sin interfeared and seporated us from Him. so God sent His son to make it right again, but you know that story already, dont you?

My own belief is that we are a creation out of the love of GOD who so desired to be loved and give love that we among many other things were created out of this love. Except that man was solely to be created in his image and his likeness and we have been given the ability to think reason and communicate like no other creation. We can communicate with our creator and we can create also through our capacity to love. That is why God is God and we are not. he has the capability of loving us unconditionally already knowing what we are and are not capable of.

God doesn't desire any such thing. How are we to know what God desires? It is people who desire other people to believe as they do, otherwise the entire basis for its cult would cease to exist and crumble into dust, as have all religions that came before yours. Christianity will follow the same logical path, given adequate time for people to invent a new, more dynamic religion.

The fact is God does exist. He desires faith for the same reason he desires love . He loves us and he wants us to love him back. We must have faith that he exists, that he loves us, that he will save us , and that we will spend eternity with him. Our faith shows our love. We love him because he first loved us 1 John 4:19 Now if he made us robots to love him it would not be real love. Therefore he gave us free will to love him or hate him as we choose. Its very simple. You must choose where you will spend eternity. Its a no brainer, come to Christ.

Faith is the ultimate in commitments, to have blind faith shows a dedication and belief so strong that it cannot be overcome.
Like pets have faith in there owners.
But what is God?
Not a being I dont think , god is Universal, perhaps a conglomeration of cosmic forces that randomly rule the Universe

This is all part of the ambiguity that is faith and religion. Most of it doesn't make sense. It's interesting to see how much believers buy into strictly on faith.

and wouldn't you be able to tell a rebellion led by your top angel was brewing and that your human creations were going to be stupid enough to be mislead by a snake, or that maybe these trees weren't such a good idea to leave in the garden with them???
