No.It is not Karma.
What is Karma?
Karma literally means "deed or act," but more broadly describes the principle of cause and effect. Simply stated, karma is the law of action and reaction which governs consciousness. In physics-the study of energy and matter-Sir Isaac Newton postulated that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Push against a wall. Its material is molecularly pushing back with a force exactly equal to yours. In metaphysics, karma is the law that states that every mental, emotional and physical act, no matter how insignificant, is projected out into the psychic mind substance and eventually returns to the individual with equal impact.
The Vedas tell us, if we sow goodness, we will reap goodness; if we sow evil, we will reap evil.
According as one acts, so does he become. One becomes virtuous by virtuous action, bad by bad action

Karma is natural benefits and consequences to our actions.... But humans have put themselves out of whack with nature.... if you felt it was karma then it's an omen. the trick is to figure out what action caused the consequence for surely it wasn't the stealing of the chicken nugget, that was simply the opportunity for a message

Both. It was clumsy of you, but if your conscience judged your actions as wrong, and cutting yourself to be a direct consequence...
then it must be karmic -right?

Call it low-grade karma, I guess. Not really bringing you all that much closer to enlightenment, but you did kind of get what you deserved.
