I heard about this site on the news not even an hour ago. I think it is about time that someone started educating people on the true severity of animals being put down simply because they can't find homes for them which is why I find it completely ridiculous about what Muts and Mom's or whatever the shelter is called did with the Ellen Degeneres puppy situation. They actually refused to adopt the dog out to that family because they had children and they even went as far as taking the dog from them after they had been caring for him and he was in no forseeable harm at all. With as hard as it is to place animals and they were obviously a good home I don't understand that at all.

I wanted a dog for the longest time and chose to wait until I knew I could afford its care. It pains me to see how many dogs are neglected. I don't go to the doctor often enough but I make that choice (due to no insurance etc) but I feel that pets don't have the choice and should be treated well.

Whatever it takes to make people believe we need less dogs produced and more dogs adopted, I am all for it. Websites, events, laws, etcetera...anything to save more lives instead of having more pups born.

Thanks...I think that's a good site. Heartbreaking to look at the pictures and death dates of those dogs, though.

Both of my boys were adopted and are neutered. :)

That sight was on GMA the other morning- big controversy if they're simply encouraging spur-of-the-moment, impulsive adoptions by pulling people's heart strings.

That site is full of shitt and lies too. The numbers are inflated and it is not to be believed. This is another BS org. like PETA whose ultimate goal is to take your money to pay off politicians to make laws in the future that will prevent ANYONE from owning a pet. Don't fall for this kind of thing. If you want to do your part in animal rescue then donate to your local shelter. Time, food, bedding... but don't be sucked in by these kinds of morbid deceitfu sites.
there are NOT 4 MILLION pets killed annually... That is ridiculous. Think about that number and hopefully reality will set in.
