College Question?

I plan on going to college. My major would be in History and my minor in Psychology...

Does anyone know how long it would take me to get a Ph.D for history?

Im curious to know because im going to become a history teacher [either high school or college]

Minimum 7 years, certainly easy to take longer.

If you become a high school teacher, you do not need a Ph.D.

I heard Millersville in PA is known for it's history accreditation. I don't personally go there but I have a friend who is for the same intended career.
