ok, heres the deal, my friend ate some illegal candy and it has lead in it... shes flipping out what can she is flipping out, we need help!!! someone please give us info on what she should do, she ate the candy about 2 days ago and doesn't know the name of the candy... but all we know is that its illegal and it might of came from china. If Ni is your friend that you are talking about, then I don't think there is anything to worry about. The jelly cups are banned because it is very easy to choke and die on them. If she didn't choke then she is fine. And like the above posters said, you need to be exposed to lead over a long period of time for anything to happen. While some Chinese candies may have been recalled due to lead (not the jelly cups, because they have been banned for several years), it was just discovered that most lipsticks have lead in them. This is something she could bring up with her doctor at her next physical, but it is not a medical emergency.

Well... dont you worry, did you know that we breath lead everyday and we are still alive.
My Dad was really lead poisoned its called Saturnism and he got poisoned because he was working with lead I mean HUGE amounts of lead, that happened 45 years ago he wasnt supposed to be able to have children and we are 4.
So just drink water and eat fruits instead of candy

She would have to consume a large amount to do any harm and then since she is no longer eating it the lead is probably already out of her system. Lead poisoning takes time, I mean you have to be consuming it over time and it builds up in your system. She is fine. You guys are being way overly dramatic. You could Google lead poisoning.

And the two below who are saying RUN TO A DOCTOR, are probably as young as you two. Seriously, Lordy, I just Googled it. She would have had to have a prolonged exposure over a period of time.
Tell her to look in her phone book for ASK A NURSE, they can calm her down, I'm sure.
