Yes.
Many new churches today base their foundation on emotion and hype rather than the rock foundation of truth.

Electrical current through the brain can cause muscle tremors, seizures, and other anomalous behaviors. If an electrical wavetrain is applied directly across the skull, a small amount of current can be made to flow through the brain and cause spurious neuron depolarizations.

I once witnessed the classic charlatan faith healer's scam demonstrated in a neurophysiology laboratory. The "healer" glued inconspicuous electrodes to the inside of his thumb and little finger. Inconspicuous wires led up his sleeve to a concealed waveform generator. When the "faith healer" suddenly reached out and dramatically grasped the top of the mark's head, the hidden electrodes attached to his hand made electrical contact on opposite sides of the skull, across the frontal lobe. A sequence of electric current pulses then passed through the mark's brain and our volunteer graduate student fell to the floor, shaking in ecstasy.

Her glowing testamonials convinced several others and eventually even me to try the experience of having my brain tickled by this old con game. I found the experience extremely pleasant and, if I hadn't had the luxury of knowing what had just been done to my brain, I could have easily imagined I'd just had a powerful religious experience.

Note that Broca's area -- where thoughts are converted to language elements and are sequenced before speaking, known to be responsible for glossolalia (speaking in tongues) -- is in the frontal lobe. In the lab, we demonstrated that the intensity of the experience apparently increased with the applied current. Glossolalia did occur in the individual who recieved the highest stimulation.

Please understand, I am not insisting this is what you saw, though I am very suspicious. I am only suggesting that electrical brain stimulation is a possibility. The idea that faith healers actually use this con came from the same neurophysiologist who demonstrated how easily this ruse can be done. I have seen no other evidence to collaborate his opinion.

It has all the markings of some sort of spiritual deception whereby an evil spirit seeks to imitate the work of the Holy Spirit and people who are seeking a sign instead of the Lord Jesus Christ line up to get an "experience" rather than experiencing the personal holiness that comes from the Spirit and the Lord.

If it isn't something that Jesus or the Apostles taught or practiced, if it doesn't glorify God, if it doesn't lead to right living according to the Word of God, then it isn't from the God of Heaven but is either from the so called "god of this world", ie the Devil or from human invention.

This is the power of the Holy Spirit coming over a person. You may see some fall over, this happens also. If you ever have the chance to experience it, it is great and you will be a different person. There is nothing to fear, it does not hurt. Even when you go down in the spirit, you can still hear everything going on, it is just that you feel so peaceful, you really don't want to get up. I think the sensation is as close to being in heaven as one can get without going there. It is not of the devil as the guy below says. Even the roman soldiers fell over when they went to get Jesus in the garden and he said I AM HE and they fell to the ground.

You went to the crazy people church. I mad that mistake once, but instead of shaking people spoke in tongues. I laughed out loud and vowed never to go back again. This was an ex-girlfriends church and she told me that what I did was rude. In turn, she broke up with me and I laughed at that too.

A group of individuals who all believe in the same thing... of course your going to see everyone shake, everyone is convinced. I bet if there were people of different beliefs there, you wouldn't see much shaking. It's a phenomenon similar to yawning or magic.

The Power of GOD was Present!
It Traveled from the Mans Spirit to the Lady's Spirit.
Remember when Jesus spoke to those Guys who had come to HIM (New Testament)
and they All Fell BackWard to the Ground?
That's the Power of GOD Almighty!
It Flowed through Jesus Too!

People want to belong to a group (as per Maslow's hierarchy). This action that you witnessed is only this woman expecting that others are expecting her to act in a certain way, and she does as expected; sometimes seeming to the individual as involuntary or impulse.
Or she has epilepsy
