Is my chi an apple or deer head? Just curious?
I have pics of him on these links. He is really tall and has long legs. Thanks!

I haven't looked at those pictures, but tall with long legs is deer.
All chihuahuas have apple dome heads. The head isn't what tells if it's a deer. Cob or deer are body types. Slender and long legged chihuahuas are deer types, while short legged muscular ones are the cobs.

Is it purebred? The muzzle seems too long to me. (But I'm not a "chihuahua person" so I can't say 100%.)
By the way, there is no "apple-head" and "deer-head" variety of chihuahua. There is just "chihuahua". (No "teacup" varieties either. They are all just chihuahuas.) The whole head-type thing was made up by people trying to sell low-quality cheap animals. You will not find the word "deer" anywhere in the official breed description.
The correct head should be "A well rounded 'apple dome' skull" according the the AKC: http://www.akc.org/breeds/chihuahua/

From my knowledge I would say Deer head.

Link doesn't work. Try again. I would say it is a purebred chihuahua but it doesn't meet the standard and has more of the "deer type" qualities.

okay since annabell posted the link it sure looks like a purebreed chi to me . he is tall . but the whole body feature looks like chihuahua to me and besides most ppl dont really know the breed so I would just say chihuahua and leave it at that . good luck .
